Nice to see that 201 not leaking gas!! As always great work Rich!!! I’m excited to hang those saws on my saddle and see how they run at top of the trees. You’re the man!!

Nice video. I rebuilt a 193t that I got off ebay. Seems to be my go-to saw out at hunting camp for removing falling trees in the roads.🍻

I like the feel of the 200 over 201 but they both cut great with your work

Yikes on that carbon!!!! Nice job doing details on the differences of these two. I was curious about the 201. Lots of guys don’t like to port the 201 since they have a dome piston

Before I say they don't need machine work.... I never have felt the need. There's good gains just optimizing the existing cylinder and muffler. Cheaper too.......

Man I love my 201. I have had 200ts and can’t tell much of a difference. at this point I see people who are 200t fanatics, the same As Alabama fans. “Last time I checked everyone hates bama fans”

They definitely both wake up with light mods. So maybe full port job 200t better to start with? I mean 201 just going to take more work to machine that’s all.

Prolly should have done a before and after on these. I would have shed a little light on the performance work. That being said the 201 is choked down more than the 200.

Do the 201s have the accelerator pump in the carb like the 200?

Yes but they rarely fail like the 200 carb.

Seemed like the 201 was tuned better than the 200. 200 sounded lean to me. But nice work. I'd run either of those. 👍

Not so fast. The 201's have been pretty good. Hell I plugged one in a couple of months ago that had 17,000+ starts. It was just in for a service. The old rules still apply. take care of your equipment and it will last.

@@richardflagg3084 I have an old 026 pro that I have just abused to hell, replaced the usual wear parts and it's back to the abuse. I just feel the "newer" designed Stihls aren't made like that any more. The 038 mag was literally a Tank disguised as a chainsaw.

@@jerseyjoshua4818 This is a great idea for a video to cover what I see in the new saws vs the older ones.
