Can you tell me why you put 0.05 location in setting of time step function and why we put the temperature range in time step function

I am trying a similar problem with heat flux boundary condition on bottom surface and other surfaces insulated. However, the energy conservation does not satisfy. How can I resolve this issue?

I have a query : can i design PCM in physics heat transfer in solids..I need to use PCM to cool the hot side of the TEC. As TEC is modelled in heat transfer in solids....can can i design PCM in heat transfer in solids by selecting fluids tab in heat transfer in solids

Hi Thanks for the video. Could explain more about what did you do on "Parametric Sweep"? I know that you implemented the latent heat through this but how does it work? Thanks again
@indissolciavit7890

we are using 2 values to show the effect in presence and absence of phase change. Latent heat =0 is case with no phase change.However, when we use lm it means phase change is taking place.

in the heat transfer options dont appear to me phase change material, just appear phase change interphase, I try it to used but doesn't work, what can I do if this phase change material doesn't appera in comsol 6?

How are you able to assign both solid and liquid to the same domain without one being overridden?
@ezez9213
Жыл бұрын
late reply but... It is actually overridden but it doesnt matter at this point because as you can see at 5:28 , you can specify which material is for phase 1 and which is for phase 2. Since I (or Im) is a positive number (this indicates heat gain) so phase 1 should be specified as the solid phase, while phase 2 should be specified as the liquid phase. If I (or Im) was negative, this indicates heat lost, so u need to specify phase 1 as liquid, and phase 2 as solid.. I hope you already go this months ago, but lets leave it here for the curious ones ;)

Hello The video was very nice but the option "Phase change material" is not available in COMSOL 5.6. There is an option "Phase change interface" though it is not understandable Is there any other option @Indissol ciavit??
@indissolciavit7890

I made that video in COMSOL 5.3, later i realized that drop down list in 5.5 was a bit different.In 5.5, you could find PCM by right clicking on solid 1/fluid 1(say). I don't know about 5.6, but i hope it shall be same.

I can't find the 'phase-change materials' domain in 'heat transfer in fluid' in Comsol 5.5. Can anyone help me to solve it?

In COMSOL 5.5 , the drop down list is a bit different. However You may check by right clicking on Fluid1 under Heat transfer in fluid , there you would find option for phase change material.
