This video enlightened me that another version is coming out, one I can do in natural metal. I am finally finishing the Model World(Model Svit) P-51 H. The Model Svit P-51H is a Gift to the 1/48 WWII Aircraft world . The plastic is softer than most, and may be just like on a "short run kit". I had to use a micro saw to remove all small parts, as nipping them would cause them to twist and brake. Use magnification, and do anything clever to ensure alignment of landing gear, and proper strength of. And if painting black, or metalizing with gloss black base, anything you can do to prevent from marring or scratching plastic beforehand is welcome. Watch that bottle glue also, as this plastic is some what sensitive to it, so experiment first if needed. I am looking forward to building The Model Svit F-82 based in part on the greatness of their beautiful P-51H kit. The Alclad Chrome over Mr. Color Gloss Black is awesome for a polished Aluminum look, as I was shooting for on the fuselage. I puttied the wings and painted with Alclad RAF High Speed Silver. On the real planes, some times wing putty was removed in the field, from what I gather so far.

Nice! I'm looking forward to getting into this build very soon. I also want to do the NMF twin. Thanks for the input

@@yellowcake1320 Thanks for doing a review on such an exciting new kit as this. If this is any thing like the Model Svit P51H, and I am sure it is, it is highly worth seeing it through. I made so many mistakes on mine, and it was seldom the fault of the kit. Was my first Alclad Chrome over black, and my build sequence just kept messing me up. Sanding, polishing, repainting etc. prevailed. If I were to do the H again, I might make the landing gear out of metal. As on the real H, they are fragile. I built a cradle landing gear jig from balsa wood, that I attached with white glue. I glued the wheels and the gear legs up against this temporary jig, then removed the jig. I was proud , I used all photo etch and interior decals. I made brake lined from wire though. These Model Svit kits are of precision jewel like quality, although they have some of the build difficulties associated with the "Short Run Kits" produced.
