Cool picks! Love the Conan books, Thundercats, and I've been getting into Rook Exodus at the min, too. Finished that Bond series by Ennis yesterday. He's actually writing Get Fury for Marvel right now - a limited series with Nick Fury and soldier Frank Castle. It's fun, but in true Ennis style, not for the kids! I'm a big fan of Millarworld. Most of the titles are awesome imo. The crossover event last year, Big Game was excellent, although to fully enjoy it obviously helps to have read the individual stories that preceded it. The Energon universe is great fun - Transformers, Void Rivals, Cobra Commander etc. Probably my fav indie title is Lazarus by Rucka (Old Guard) and Lark. I cannot recommend it highly enough, a fully realised world, and the story, characters and artwork are all excellent. Stuart

Manga and Indies is all I've been reading for the past decade and I have no plans of ever returning to the Big 2 unfortunately(other than buying trades of older stories that I like). What I currently have on my pull list is. -Conan: The Barbarian. As you've said, Jim Zub is doing a stellar job, and you can feel the passion and love the creative team has for the history and lore of Robert E. Howard's Conan. I'm a big fan of pulp characters (pulps in general) especially Howard's characters(Solomon Kane, Bran Mak Morn, Kull) so this series is easily my favorite right now. It's also one of the best sellers at my LCS with it constantly sold out. -G.I Joe. Larry Hama still has it. I have been enjoying this story so far along with the art and every issue I finish has me wanting more. This series is also another best seller at my LCS and it too is constantly sold out. -Red Sonja: Empire of the Damned. Big fan of Red Sonja and this is a straightforward well-paced quest story with decent art and I've been enjoying it so far. -Gargoyles: Quest. Loved the OG Gargoyles cartoon and this story is another continuation of the animated series written by the original creator Greg Weisman. It has an interesting premise with good art and I'm enjoying it.

Thanks for commenting! We will have to give GI Joe a shot, have heard a lot of great things and hama is an absolute legend so its great to see him still getting a shot to write the book. Red Sonja falls right in with the conan type of story so we will probably try to check that out as well

Counterpoint… IDW had GI Joe and other properties but totally ‘woked’ them up and had non stop messaging. So sometimes the indies make the same mistakes as the big 2.

Certainly a good point, IDW really seemed to mismanage the GI Joe brand and Transformers to a certain extent as well, good thing about the indie books is that when the books are mismanaged or disappointing to fans the license can often be moved to another company, GI joe and Transformers seem to be being handled better with skybound based on fan reaction, although to be honest neither of us on the channel are huge fans of either brand so largely that is just based on what seems to be the reaction from fans. Both are great brands just not ones that either of us on the channel were ever major fans of.

95% of the comics I buy nowadays are Indies. No woke crap from Marvel and DC for me.

Certainly seems to be a growing sentiment of folks who are moving to the indies, for a variety of reasons, thanks for watching and commenting, always appreciate hearing different perspectives

Agreed. I stopped buying ANYTHING from Disney, including Marvel Comics, the minute they slandered Gina Carano for having a different opinion. That revealed to me who they are, and that they do not deserve my money. There's TONS of great independent creators out there who have EARNED my respect and my money, and I will happily share it with them.
