You said these traps were versatile, now I am starting to see what you were talking about. Also, very clever.

I cleared a groud hog out of my mellon patch this summer with a 110. I used pieces of the same mellons he was half eating and leaving for bait. They also work well for norway rats. I stake them down so that when the coyote cleans the trap out I dont lose a trap. Coyote lives as long as he keeps the rodents controlled. GroundHog fed the coyote too.

THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEOS. I LOVE ALL THIS OUT DOORS STUFF MY WHOLE LIFE. I STILL LEARN EVERT DAY. THANK YOU FOR YOU TIME, PASSING ON THE OLD KNOWLEDGE THAT MOST ALL OF US KNOW NOTHING OF. THIS IS IMPORTANT STUFF. MY FOLKS COME FROM THE MOUNTAINS IN SC AND ARK, I WAS RAISED IN MI. WE STILL HAVE THE HUNTER AND GATHERER TRADITIONS. IT WOULD BE A BETTER COUNTRY IF EVERYONE DID. THANKS AGAIN. (HOW'S YOUR POSSUM COMING ALONG? :) )

My opinion, the hole and most importantly the trap itself should be out of the water. Still water like that will easily freeze holding the jaws open till it thaws.

Dave, trapping has always been one of the weakest aspects of my outdoor life and I'd like to thank you for teaching and sharing your knowledge with everyone. It is rare to find someone who is not only knowledgeable, but also is an excellent teacher as well. Thank you for everything you do and try not get caught up in the hate. I do have a question though: what are some things you like to harvest for Thanksgiving dinner? I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you again
