That last bit with a bit of band saw work could make very nice knobs ^^

Thank you Jack pretty unique the way they end up. Those that you had stained worked really great. That would really accent a piece that needed trim. As always I enjoy your videos.

I like your thinking out of the box Jack. If you only plan on making relatively shallow cuts with these then you should shorten the shank and that will help with the chatter. Cheers mate.

Needs a relief cut on the edge. Or you can just sharpen it.

Very clever idea. It opens tons of possibilities for wheels, decorations and maybe even rings. I don't know how the latter will turn out, if the adapted spade bit has two points, one in the edge and one between the edge and the former center point.

Really good project, so it scrapes rather than slices. In terms of sharpening use the same method for creating a burr on a cabinet scraper?

Maybe sharpen the edges and try making round beads or round ends on dowels. I'm definitely trying this with some of my old spade bits.

Nice idea, it would probably work even better if you grind it at an angle so that the bit get a "chisel like" edge if you know what I mean ? Thank you for sharing all these cool projects and ideas Jack .. have a good one

At first I was thinking I don't understand.😶 but then at the end when you showed the trim.i think that's a good idea.THENNN,, I was also going to say what if you left the center on there but not as long?and then you went ahead and did it.. LOL but Yea, that is a good idea to make trim I'm going to try that I have a bunch of old Spade bits that I never use think I paid like $2 for a bucket of 50 at a garage sale thanks for the idea Jack
