Careful with using your electronic air gauge. The brake cleaner can back feed into the tool and mess up the seals.

@@thomasbarlow4223 the way it reads the pressure is by letting it into the sensing area. You very much can run your seals, yes. I usually hit it with a straight air chuck and won't even let it near a mechanical air gauge

To be fair transmission fluid can cost up to 150 for automatics if your doing a flush and fill it takes about 20 quarts depending on a car ( relying on Nissan for this info I know terrible )

Got that exact setup, it’s awesome, for about 7 seconds. Basically a firehose of doom. Would love to see it sprayed over a candle flame or something (obviously DONT do that it’s dangerous) but would be cool

Get a weed sprayer drill 1/4in hole fit a TR13 tubeless rubber car tyre valve insert it and bingo cheap, lasts longer/bigger reservoir, and more adjustable spray jets, if you need more punch get a kero gun, it’s connected to the air line...

That's a good idea but I would Mark the can or the nozzle to just let the casual person picking up to know it's not going to be a missed spray it's going to be a straight stream, that could be important down the line

I bought a stainless refillable can on Amazon for $25 that sprays and has a built in tube that flips up for a stream of fluid. Pressurize to whatever your shop air puts out. I use alcohol in it for brakes and degreaser. It works mint and doesn’t smell so harsh like brake cleaner does. Oh and doesn’t evaporate so fast either.

Yeah those little ones are handy. The one I got has a metal tube instead of a plastic slip in tube. Damn thing works great. I went thru this refillable phase like 15yrs ago and got tired of it because I wasn't saving much like you're led to believe. The product still costs alot.

It’s easier doing this using a Venturi nozzle hooked directly to the air line drawing from a canister of solvent from the suction hose.

Mine never knows what it wants to do. One time it's mist the next its a stream. Sometimes on larger messes it bounces back and forth in one spray. But most of the guys at work gut them I prefer a mist from time to time. But I also run mine at like 150-160 psi constantly as well

I have two of them. One stock and one with the pin removed. Both are run at shop air pressure which is 180psi because I'll wait to refill them until the compressor is done filling. I hate filling the cans with brake clean and with air so I make the most out of each fill of either

My favorite thing to use In those cleaners is diesel fuel. One thing tho, If the fuel is dirty then nozzle gets clogged and doesn’t spray at all

Yeah you don't need to tighten it very much at all it is okay to use a stubby wrench but just get it squeaked on dont reef on it.

The valve you removed is an OSHA safety feature that is intended to prevent eye damage from excessive pressure at the nozzle. In most applications it renders the tool ineffective to the point of being useless.

At work I took that part out and drilled the hole just a hair bigger for spraying used oil on truck frame. Works very nice. ( I work with fertilizer equipment)

I've always noticed with those sure shots that after a while when tightening the top with a wrench it destroys the seal or makes it fall out constantly. I just use a socket and my hand to tighten and it seals it up just fine. Just a tip, do what you want with the info lol

There’s a guy in my shop that bought (or made idk), a cap for the fill hole that hooks directly up to the shops air supply. It’s like a high pressure water sprayer, except it’s not water it’s brake clean.

It works did it for a bit but your brake clean is done in 2 sprays. The pressure tends to leak out too from the removed nozzle

A few guys drilled the tips oversized and you'd get MAYBE two cars out of it if you were going easy on the spray. We got the stuff in 50 gallon drums and they didn't last long.
