How does beads and data bender compare? I really like DB, but wasn't sure if beads did somewhat similar and more things. Loving everything I've heard from DB though

This module sounds completely mental! My local vendor has just got stocks of Aurora which is next month's purchase. I'm going to ask them if they can get Data Bender too. As always, your music is good and weird and mad. Cheers!

Heyyy what an amazing video man! Thank you so much! I have a question though. Isnt part of the effect you are getting from freezing beads ? It´s an amazing result :D but i just wonder how much is beads doing there...

Thank you! The seed and freeze on beads are being triggered but the dry/wet knob is all the way off so you are hearing 100% data Bender ☺️

Great ideas! I love having the data bender at the end of my signal chain as well. I usually end up using my hands to modulate everything in the micro mode, but I’m going to start experimenting with CV to everything now too. The yellow saturation mode can get brutal. Square wave to pitch and gates to turn on/off decimate are super useful starting points. Thanks!

While most people seemed to like the blue mode, I was more drawn to the green mode. Can't wait til new firmware comes out so that there is no bleed of original dry signal when mix is full wet. It kind of kills it when the original pitch isn't in key with new wet pitch. You can't always hear it but when you can it sounds bad.
@TheUnperson

I haven't noticed any bleed at all on mine. I am really looking forward to the firmware update tho!

I'm using Pam's New Workout to set the BPM in the modular, and using it to clock the Data Bender, Beads, etc. Then I just set the drum machine and OP1 to the same BPM and press play in time lol. It is possible to clock the RD-8 with Pam's also as it does have a clock in.
