I feel like those decals you used on the hood are supposed to be for the tailgate if you wanted just the letters and no trim panel. Very very nice build and I'm definitely going to have to get this kit! I have all 4 69-72 2wd kits built so this is a must!
@hpiguy

If you look at the decal sheet and manual, they list those as the only options for the hood. The manual actually shows them as decals 3 and 4 on the sheet and to use them for the hood. Like I said, way too big and I may take them off and replace them with the ones from the earlier kits.

The one thing that I've learned from the master modelers is plan, plan, pre-fit and plan. The 70 Ford is stunning, great job. I'm sure you've covered this previously and I hate to ask but how do you get air brush results from a spray can?

Do they make a 69 F2-50 3/4 Ton. I owned a real one I'm teribble at building one I'm now in a Nursing Home And can't Paint or Glue due to other Residents, Can You Custom build one for me? At cost + if not Cool I hate Asking because I used to Build them Myself and can't now. If You can Facebook Me I'm Mat Bistram thanks for your Concideration. I love base model trucks, real and model. I’m in the process of turning my 2017 f250 into a early 70’s hiboy/custom. Made the widow tracking, got the steel wheels and another set of bumpers to have painted white. Trouble now is finding tires that are skinnier but also taller. Taller is easier but skinner has been impossible lol. They make a lot of tires for cruising the mall parking lots (wide n low profile) lol. But that model you just built is awesome!!! Well till next time, gd luck and happy new year.

I had a 70 2 wheel drive,the exact same color as the box art! It's a kinda maroon purpley color,and we called him Barney! Had a 390 and a granny low 4 speed! Loved that truck! Had been updated with a new steering column and the power steering off of an aircraft carrier I think! Was so easy to turn I bought a Gant 14 inch steering wheel so's I didn't twitch it all over the road with the stock wheel!

This is the kit I should have been looking for lol my dad when I was in highschool had a rusty 70 Ford F-250 but a 2wd version of this from western Illinois over by the lakes truck was originally in the champagne area i don't think I spelled that correctly it was Wimbledon white roof top of the truck and the lower body and most of the interior was carmine red and rust and faded around the outside of the truck the interior other than no headliner it was gone and the floor boards were shot when we got it 360fe auto lite 21002bbl manual choke dump truck manual shift 4spd Borg warner transmission and the dana 60 rear end with 4.56 gears it didn't need 4x4 custom trim level truck and the lower dog legs on the front fenders and the lower rear bedsides were so rusty they flapped in the wind and made a bunch of noise,, and the tailgate was just the carmine red faded more than the truck so I am sure it was swapped out but it was just as rusty as the rest of the truck was
@LXCScaleCars

yea the decal on the hood is for the tailgate. They probably don't know if that well from the real one. I really hope moebius brings out the 1973-1979 with the different year grills and front bumpers they offered as well. also the different style trim options for the side

Do you know of any other kits out there that also have the textured diamond plate middle step rear bumper that I could check out that might match the one that came on the '73 Chevy?
