Thanks a lot for a great video. Being from India it is very hard to get these kind of books without paying extraordinaire amount for them . Shipping alone cost more than the book. Please upload other deep dive of catalouge whatever you have if possible. There really not much out there. P.S. : If you have any Milo Manara catalouge please do a deep dive.

Hi, thanks for the nice words. Have a few more Moebius in the works. The sequel to Arzach (if i manage to get my hands on a copy ;) and a deep dive into ‘The long tomorrow’. Big fan of Manara but not planning anything yet for him.

Any plans of buying Moebius OEuvres - Intégrale: L'oeuvre hermétique?

Not really. Have all of those stories in different separate volumes already, also, I don’t speak French so that edition is not going to work for me 😄

@@moebius-chronicles Is there are any plans to review these books/comics that are not on YT?

@@VisualFeast7557 i am not an experienced reviewer but i did a video for this book because there were none in English at the time but most of his work has already been reviewed online. If there is anything you think is missing from the web and that needs an English review I’d be happy to pick it out of my collection (if i have it) and do a new video.

@@moebius-chronicles Icaro collaboration with Jiro Taniguchi, abstract art in Lazlo Parker (it is in France but it's art album/catalog). I'm not saying that you shout buy them if you don't have them, but that's the ones that are lesser-known and don't have videos on YT. I myself will buy the France book that I mentioned in my first comment.

@@VisualFeast7557 Know of both but don't own a copy. Icaro I never got since it got mixed reviews and is only written by Moebius (even though I really like Taniguchi’s style). Lazlo Parker I want to get for sure. I noticed that 'The man from Ciguri' and 'Shore Leave on Pharagonesia' have no reviews in English. I might do those. And also 'Arzak: L'arpenteur'. Don't have that yet but trying to get my hands on a Italian version (quite rare nowadays).

Man, do Europeans despise people who only speak English or something? Sorry I was born in a country that isn’t tin close proximity to tons of other nations of different languages and customs but I’m a huge fan of the comic art over there and boy does it suck that we don’t get English versions of so much awesome work.

I think their disgust for the English language is exactly the issue here 😂 - Jokes aside, to give credit to 'Moebius Production', they have been releasing books in English too lately, such as 'Arzak le petit pantheon' (kzitem.info/news/bejne/1KaZ0XWlnpRqZ4I) and the Max Ernst catalogue (both in double language). So I think they are slowly warming up to pushing for more English content to appeal to bigger audiences. The one in this video was for an exhibit in Italy so it does make sense that they went for a French/Italian setup for it. But as I say in the video, you can get this and still enjoy it without speaking either of these languages.

Whoever was the editor for this book did a terrible job! Most of these images should have been full pages (especially in the Divine Comedy chapter) they crammed all those amazing pieces to fit a single page! I love Moebius's art and I hope they reprint this in English with a better format to property showcase the artist's work.

Yeah they make that choice in a few sections of the book and it is really odd. Do them all or do none I say. I understand that they are trying to give a complete picture but it does not work well. To me the most annoying part is when they showcase short stories (like Celestial Venice) and then leave out two pages. Traditionally Moebius art books have short stories in them and often these can only be found there (see the Moebius - Fusions book for example), i found this even more frustrating than what you described. Still I think it is a good book for the price, and really the only one around at the moment that won’t cost you a fortune.

@@moebius-chronicles Yeah, I actually recently got into the artist and there's SOOO MANY art books by him, but I love the bodies of work collected in this volume. I think rather than reprint, Humanoids publishing should put out a new volume with full bleed printing of his works. Take care.

@@ChrisElLuchador That would be great but I don't think Humanoids (at least the US division) has the rights to that body of work or they would have milked that cow ages ago :D They can only publish all of the work he has done together with Jodorowsky but that is it. In France you now have Moebius Productions, which is the official distributor now, and run by Moebius' wife and heirs www.moebius.fr/Shop.html And yes indeed, there are tons of art books around from him (some 30+ years old). I would say the best around that is easy to find is the Max Ernst exhibition catalogue. You can get it for 150/200 USD at the moment but it is almost 300 pages long making it extensive (and expensive). Gorgeous book. If you want to go for the affordable and easy to get ones I would suggest you get Chaos and Metallic Chronicles (French edition). They come combined in one book today and you can get it new on Amazon for 43 USD. The only thing you will have in french is a 2 page intro from Moebius and that is basically it. 180 pages of art. Highly recommend it.
