I really appreciate tutorials like this. I have two nit-picks to suggest. For those who have never done faucet changing before, please remind them to turn the water off below the sink before beginning. Secondly, I highly suggest pulling the lever to stop the sink up before beginning any sink project. Any tiny screw or tid-bit will certainly find its way to the drain if given half a chance when dropped!

Thank you, your video was a huge help and we were able to replace cartridges in two of our 20+ year Moen faucets, we really appreciated your step by step detailed instructions. I agree with other the other comments, Moen's customer service is top notch, we had a few pieces that were damaged, they sent us replacement parts and cartridges within a week from calling. Our only problem we ran into during the replacement process was that the screw that went into the cartridge would just not come out, no matter what we tried, in both cases we had to drill out the screw. Everything else was exactly how you showed in your video.

Your Video was superb!! All the needed details were thoroughly explained with extra emphasis on challenging steps. Getting the old cartridge out was extremely difficult. On mine the two rubber covers at the bottom of old cartridge disloged and make the extraction all most impossible. With some time I came back to the project and used some leverage to remove the old cartridge. After that the process went fairly smooth. Thanks alot for the video, it made this project possible.

It's important to NOT reinstall the tiny metal washer over the stem before you seat the cartridge all the way down. Why? Because if the washer is in place, the plastic "tool" for removing/inserting will not go far enough onto the stem to be able to press the cartridge all the way to the bottom -- the stem itself bottoms out early.
