I was thinking or getting a maroon colored suit using mohair as the fabric, do you think using mohair will make the suit look more luxurious compared to using s110 wool?

What do you think of a cream wool, mohair, silk blend fabric for a dinner jacket?

Would yo recommend a wool/mohair blend fabric for a tuxedo?

I personally wouldn't because Mohair fabric has a shine/sheen to it. It looks similar to a silk/wool suit. IMHO - a Tuxedo is more formal...less is more. Whereas a Mohair suit is more of a statement and less "traditional" in a sense. The above Tailor/video is spot on by presenting the beautiful colors/properties of Mohair. IMHO - Mohair works great with bringing out colors. Of course, colors tend not to "hold better" through time as fashion changes. This is why most formal suits are in "black" as you can wear it over many many times.

@@davidng407 A midnight blue wool and mohair blend works beautifully. Example would be 1962 Dr No. Sean Connery's first bond movie. Also shine in black tie and formal attire is good. Also depending on blend the mohair has a bit of shine but not overly so.

@@davidng407 No problem. I forgot to add that it is good in hot weather. Maybe that is something you are interested in.
