I think the reason people didn't come forward is adequately explained by his ability to use his wealth to litigate and silence people; additionally experts in the field of abuse agree it can take victims decades to feel able to report their abuser.

It would have been very difficult for those women to complain about their boss, particularly as they relied on the work and wages he provided. Also, the fact of finding another job they would have to provide a reference of previous works. I, for one, would not have asked for a reference from someone like him if I had been in that position and was looking for other employment. Very tricky for women.

It was common knowledge that Al Fayed was an absolute monster, he preyed upon any woman with the misfortune to be employed by Harrods, l had friends working there who spoke openly about his total disrespect of all female employees and treated them like absolute trash, if Princess Diana had not been Dodis girlfriend she would have been taken advantage of, he had no scruples at all and behaved exactly as you would expect a shady person like him to do so

watching the ladies who worked there taking the money etc. I know the ohs in Harrods and I bet he was making sure the worker worked and offered towels to clients etc.. no good trying togo for comfort break of you didnt have a good pockertfull of change..I went one time and hadn't enough in my purse as I was shopping withy husband. I was turned away like trash and had to race to another department to se of my husband had change!!!!!!! no longerr the penny it used to be!!
