Edit: I'm having ragrets not including the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence! It's very gentle, adds extra moisture to the skin, calmed my skin when it was a bit red, my sister also told me it helped calm down some inflammation around active breakouts she had. I would place the texture between the Rovectin Activating Treatment Lotion and Pyunkang Yul Moisture Ampoule. The texture is different but it's not slimy, just... Different! I'm all about those moisturizing layers and looking like a glazed donut this time of year! You don't need one of each product to help add extra moisture to your skincare routine, but there's definitely a variety to choose from! Hope the swatches help you out ☺️ Current weather: 2°C feeling like -2°C - damn that windchill!

The bioderma one is certainly my favourite too I use it year round and it’s really satisfying me in its moisturising power as I’ve tried a lot but usually not enough as I have a super dry skin and also a retinoid user , I even cut back on the retinoid these days because of the cold , btw two sunscreens I truly recommend for dry skin is the LRP hydrating cream for dry skin (the french version ) and the Neogen dermalogy day light protection sunscreen, and I want to say that your skin has tremendously improved on the tretinoin micro vs the adapalene ,it looks really beautiful and glowing from within 🥰

Thank you!! Tretinoin was seriously the boost I needed in my acne control game 😁 I purchased the DRMTLGY Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF46 and heard it was moisturizing, I should be getting it in the mail soon so hopefully it performs well. I think LRP Canada has the Melt-In Cream, I know a friend who uses it as a moisturizer with SPF but I had a sample of the older version so maybe I can get a sample of the new one to see if it's similar.

I use tretinoin, so my skin can get very dry. This winter, I've enjoyed The Ordinary Buffet, both versions, and Paula's Choice Resist Advanced Replenishing Toner. During the Day, I use Paula's Choice and/or DRMTLGY spf 46 sunscreen. I've found The Inkey List Retinol Serum to be soothing on my neck, which I didn't expect, but am very grateful for.

Thanks for being so thorough! I have chronic dermatitis (super sensitive!) and I'm so particular about the emollience and texture - your demonstrations are super helpful in getting an idea of how it might feel on my skin. I found your video after looking for others experiences using the bioderma atoderm baume. I also apply it to my face with no issues! It's the best. Have you tried any products from Jouviance? I've been using the Antioxidant for nearly 3 years and it's made such a difference in how my skin bounces back if I have a flare up from any allergies/triggers. Great content as usual! We need more Canadians around here!

Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume is seriously the best! I've never tried anything from Jouviance before, is the product you're talking about a moisturizer or do you use it like a thicker "hydrator"?

@@michxmash Markets itself as a moisturizer. I use it more as a serum step before applying Bioderma, however I'm sure for others who aren't as dry or who don't live in a colder climate could get away with using it alone. It's pricey, around $50 but I often check my shoppers app to see if they rotate any sales and I'll stock up on two.( they go on clearance for $35/40, and then I'll use my optimum points so I at least feel like it's not making a massive dent on my wallet lol) I think they've recently marketed it as "Hydractiv Antiox" under the blue line, where previously it was a stand alone product with magenta colour font. The only other product I have tried was Hydractiv Skin Rescue, and it was..meh.

Wow, you're beautiful! I just got prescribed tretinoin (from Felixforyou) and I'm looking to see moisturizing routine. I'm interested in the Bioderma atoderm intensive baume. I also live in Canada but in MB.

Does the by wishtrend ampoule help with preventing acne and clogged pores? I am looking to add something that will help prevent acne when I use thicker moisturizers. Thank you Great video!

For my skin, Propolis doesn't do much for prevention, but I like how soothing it is when my skin is inflamed and doesn't contribute to breakouts! A BHA chemical exfoliant may be better if you're looking to prevent congestion.

@@michxmash Thank you so much for your suggestion, is there one in particular you find that helps that won't dry out the skin.

Do you use a particular moisturizer and spf around the eyes? Anything I have tried, irritates my eyes, making them watery.. Mineral spf is too drying, chemical spf hurts my eyes, a simple moisturizer makes my eyes watery as well. I'm wondering if you found something that works for that area?
@michxmash

Unfortunately I haven't found a perfect sunscreen for around my eyes, even if some are tolerable! I purchased the Colorscience Eye SPF during Black Friday sales and I'm hoping it's non-irritating, doesn't dry my skin out, and lasts a good amount of time cause damn the price! In the meantime, you can try mixing a super small amount of Vaseline in your moisturizer and apply around your eyes, wait for it to set a bit, and go in with a mineral SPF. Sometimes if my face is feeling particularly parched I like doing this for my whole face.

@@michxmash Thanks for the reply! I might try your tip about mixing some vaseline... Maybe that could help. Usually anything I put above my eyes go into them and make them watery.. ugh, so maybe this could work.

Ugh I know! But I didn't really have enough that I could say "wow that's really moisturizing!" The LRP ultra-fluid I used in the summer seems good because it does have that emollient finish, same with bioderma photoderm milk. One Korean spf I like has been reformulated so I couldn't add that in either lol! I have a wishlist of sunscreens I heard are moisturizing so eventually I hope to do a dedicated video!
