My new MoJack HDL 550 is boxed up and waiting to be returned today. Built really well, no complaints there. These models with the Clevis Pin type bolts on the wheel pad are the only way to go. Mine has a a silly oversized bar that has to be driven over to load or unload the mower. All it does is force the lift to slide everywhere.

Mine does that when pulling off of it.. I just throttle up and go backwards quickly to get off. It has to do with having a slick concrete surface underneath.. you can pull the pins also as long as you have them in the right hole and not too tight with some gap in there.

What if the belt fails? Any safety lock to prevent the entire hub/arm from sliding down? Thanks for the video

Yes... It kind of ratchets into place like you see happening with a lift at your local mechanics. You can hear it popping when you are lifting. To release it and go back down you have to hold a release lever that releases it from the teeth.

I like this model. What is the distance from the center of the wheel cradle to the lifting post? I have a JD X-584 with the front brush guard. I’m not sure that I would have enough space to drive on without hitting the operating post. Thanks.

That silver safety handle is stuck or something. I can't get the mower to go down. Any advice?

Try and squeeze it in and tighten it a notch first then go backwards to let it down. Might just be in a bind.

@@yardvarklawnsolutions I know this is old but it is exactly what I do. I squeeze the handle firmly then try to go up just a little more and then when I start back tracking it comes down just fine. Can you tell me what socket that is on the side?

@@HexaFox ..if you are referring to the one on the side so you can use a drill, then it is a 7/16

This one has a seat belt style strap that lifts... no bottle jack.. This one is the pro addition , works different..
