I too would have bought the original Mokai, which was considerably lighter and offered greater practility with simpler systems. The changes seem at odds to the original design idea of this wonderful craft.

This is amazing and beautiful. I wonder if it could be powered by an electric drivetrain?

Do you still sell the older model? I’m interested in one where the propulsion system isn’t hanging off of the back as the river my property is on has lots of boulders.

but why? why would one need it to disassemble? seems like ALOT of extra manufacturing(which results in extra $$) for situations that would almost never come up. are these designed for people living in small apartments who drive small cars?

I had the previous model and would disassemble it to take it to the various landing places I'd use. It would fit inside my Subaru Forester (just). I got tired of this and bought a trailer, which was even more of a PITA. All in all, it wasn't suitable for my rivers with lots of gravel bars so I sold it. Noisy too!
