As an ordinary old lady with a dog I enjoy your videos with great people. Not only do I learn so much about differences I also enjoy listening to these very intelligent, thoughtful, nuanced conversations. I had a look at the trailer. Looks good. Noticed the comments contained majority good but the usual religious haters & also more worrying, the 'you should have used someone with the disorder' haters. Maddy adds to this because Sia got hell, pretty well destroyed, for using her in Music - a good movie with great music. It was based on the son of a woman she met at AA. The boy had a severe intellectual disorder. The character was non verbal & had an intellectual disability but called autistic. Sia had similar issues not wanting to use a 'high functioning' autistic person to play a much lower functioning child. It would have been traumatising for that child actor to act down. Maddy did a great job but the backlash was horrible. Sia had 13 neurodivergent actors & staff. The hate that started after the trailer was incredible.

Hi Blume. Great to see you back again. I just love your personality which allows you to bring a freshness to the tired old UTube format. Smart professional presentation and content. You have opened my eyes at this very mature age to things I suspected when I was growing up and your explanations open up doors of understanding for those who are willing to listen. Keep up the great work. You bring a rare openness and vulnerability to the screen. Not many have that. Best wishes from Brisbane.

Sorry if this is rude, but do you find yourself attracted to guys or girls, or intersex?

I have a question. If you have functioning testicles that are doing testicle things, does that mean that they produce testosterone and semen? If they do produce semen, can it be used to fertilize a womb? Sorry if question is weird its just too fascinating to not ask 🙈

Diversity in the natural world has shown itself to be absolutely necessary for the whole ecosystem to function as well as flourish. Modifying or eliminating one form of life creates a void. A void that can not be filled by human intervention nor human technology. Unfortunately, human intervention is too often used without understanding each modification or removal, will eventually cause irrepairable harm to the whole ecosystem. Accepting the value in the uniqueness of each component of diversity should be held in the highest regard and respect. Efforts should be placed more in the understanding and celebration of differences rather than the pursuit of rejection and /or modification for the sake of irrational conformity to a misguided definition of normal.

Well MRKH was put under the intersex umbrella which was used by the medical profession many years ago.

Koops' last hurrah was on MRKH, which he pronounced as "mer-kah". Kudos to Molly for actually knowing what it stands for from memory and not dying from the irony of its origin

This movie sounds like it would be a boon for MRKH women. Hope you find a global audience, without it being sterilised like The Ring for CAIS

I just saw the trailer to this movie, it looks very interesting, especially after viewing some of your videos. Thank you to both Blume, Molly and everybody else that is responsible for getting this movie out and promoting your community. as a 51 year old straight white male, I've always been interested in what this whole Intersex thing was since I first heard about it while watching 'Faking It' but I didn't know who or where to ask/find out without seeming creepy. Thank you again Blume.

I would love to find a way for people with a DSD who don’t identity or like the term intersex, to also have access to support - as many have been excluded from groups as don’t like the term. I use it for myself, but have met young people traumatised by being called intersex - especially when this is shared with them insensitively or in school lessons

At about 6:05, Molly said that some people consider her intersex & others, “staunchly” say no. This is baffling. Who in the world believes they have the right to tell someone else how they should identify?

I do think we also need to listen to the people who don’t like being called intersex - as many have been alienated from the groups who are supposed to offer support, which is a shame & the opposite of being inclusive
