Her mother's actions told her that she's not loved. What grace was she suppose to extend to her mother? Most good moms would encourage their children to pursue their passion and get any job in a field or space that makes them comfortable. She is pushing her daughter pass her comfort level to expose her body and genital area for $. That's a pimp not a mom. She values $ even above her daughter. When this "business" eventually ends all of these activities will live on and could tarnish or hinder her daughter's future in various ways.

So obviously you've never been in this type of situation. Her parent didn't raise her, she bought her and when she was a child you really think the daughter would say no to nice things? As an adult she has made the decision not to let her mom drive the narrative of her life anymore. I wouldn't say she is a horrible mom but she manipulate and control her daughter in some ways. Her daughter is spoiled for sure, but it doesn't negate the fact her mom is responsible for the wedge in their relationship. Her mom still deserves respect.
@yolosotoph1152

Both of their feelings are warranted and deserved to be said & heard. The only issue here is Mom IS the parent and should have recognized that her childhood traumas were playing a role in how she handled her daughter. We know parents do the best they could with what they had. The past is the past. But Mom came out in the present day wanting to demand her daughter go back to playing & defending her good mothering skills only by the gifts she's bought. We can just hope they're in therapy and healing, and becoming more mother & daughter like daughter wants & needs, rather than friends who hoop together in lingerie bball.

@auntkera
10 ай бұрын
Yes but so what she accepted the gifts, of course she did, what child wouldn’t. She obviously worked for it anyway. That doesn’t somehow justify the wrong. As a parent, it was HER job to differentiate between what was appropriate and what wasn’t. I don’t doubt she did her best and what she thought was ok, but whether she sees it or not she absolutely exploited her daughter for her own gain. This is her child so the child benefits by default. We can’t justify wrongs with “oh well she benefited.” Benefiting doesn’t make it any less wrong. If anything she was bribing her w/ materialism and manipulating her w/ guilt. If she wants her daughter to understand her pain, she has to lead by example. Parents always want to be understood first before trying to understand their children when that is the parents job to do first. Aside from everything, she’s one of the better moms out here. I think it’s hard for a lot of young parents to give up putting their dreams first when they have kids and the reality is you don’t have to give up but instead realize you don’t come first anymore. Either way I 100% see the mom truly loves her daughter and truly wants to understand and make amends. She was just caught up in her desires. I get it though. Struggle can have you tunnel visioning until you find a way out. Our kids just want our love and attention. No judgment because none of us are perfect but having your child get half naked for money could lead down a very dark path. Thank god she has a very self aware daughter. God bless them both. ❤ I pray the daughter starts to understand moms decisions and mom learns how to give her what she needs as well. This is NOT a bad mom. We all make mistakes.

The mother/daughter story killed me. As a child, so much trauma and blame. It was only as an adult, that I realized that my parents had their own trauma that informed their lives. We as parents all try to do our best for our children with what we were given (generational trauma, at times). But we also have to recognize that what we thought we should to give to our children (with the best intentions) may not have always been what they actually needed. I'm sorry but I see things totally different. For this woman to grow up with no mother she turned out to get a damn good mother. Second we know buying your kids material things are just one part of parenting communicating is key but her daughter never communicated that she didn't want to play basketball. If she told her mom I don't want to it she still going to be your mom. Karomo asked her did you like playing basket ball she said yes, he asked did you like being close to your mom at that time she said yes. Then things shifted she start dating a guy her mother's coworker and he all of a sudden start telling her she was worth more then this. Honestly I believe he was only telling her that because he didn't want her doing it. She then quit not getting paid that's how she lost everything. If you didn't wsnt to play ball anymore then she should have been looking for another job while still playing. Once she got the job then quit. Mind you she lost it all while with this man. Why didn't he step up to help her? All the while still not communicating to get mom that she didn't want to play. This usbhow she ended back in her mom's house in her master bed room WITH that same man. Where is his home? Why is he living with his significant others mother. Ok let's make it make sense here. She post it all because she made a rash decision to quit without securing employment and blamed losing everything on her mom. This young lady kept everything bottled up instead of communication. Your mother wasn't going to beat yo ass you was in a safe space . Then she turned around and said mom when you stop talking to me that broke me. Now you want to talk? Why are yoy not talking about the shit that counts.

This Buns & Basketball thing is damn ridiculous girls arses hanging out for men to gorp at running up and down the girls might as well be in the strip club on a pole, it's silly. The things people do for money...and involving your daughter? yh, nah.

After finally moving away from my mom and leaving on bad terms the dreams I have of her crying still hurt me so bad. I just can’t forgive her for what she did to me rather then picking herself up. There is no reason to give up your child to men for money and I won’t make the same mistakes she did.

Omg she thinks that's empowering women! She needs help. Empowering women by showing their bodies??? What is wrong with u??? So look how empowered her daughter looks now. Geez! The daughter is someone that can empower ppl.

I don’t like how his feelings about seeing his girl looking a certain way online is wrong. He’s absolutely right, especially if he grew up in a traditional household…money over morals isn’t the move. Nobody should be able to see your spouse in positions that make you feel uncomfortable. We live in a crazy time now

I know her mom was not perfect accorse but, at least she did not abandon her like her mom did her, I think looking at this from her mom perspective is that she didn’t want to hurt like her mom hurt her😢 ❤.

Exactly, I'm reading some of the comments this world has gone really crazy with no morals to think it's ok for a mother to exploit her daughter and other young women. You can have a body wear nice things but this weird choice of business yh, nah it's silly. Social media has made this world so...I don't even know anymore.

Nothing excuses her mums business even existing, not even her hard upbringing, nothing in the world is justification for what she started. If any man in that crowd told her how low they think of her and all those women and her daughter, I believe earth would open up to swallow her, that's how she would've felt. Humiliation is not empowering, embarrassment is not empowerment. This woman needs to heal and grow in some dignifying way, that would bring her more then money ever did. If you feel you got to do that to make money as a woman, ask yourself where you bleeding

Bruh I feel for the daughter so much. The mom was so wrong to make her feel pressured for that BS. If mama wants to show ass let it be away from the child no matter the age if you insist on earning money that way. Self love is taught through moms not just dads and it isn’t fair for daughters to suffer in silence for so long and nobody nudges them to say anything.

I'm glad that she has a sense of self-worth but from the outside looking in. Foster kids always promise themselves that when I have kids they will never do without. She broke that generational course and she has allowed outsiders to make her lose empathy for her mother. They need family counseling. She loves her daughter. She didn't know the depth of her wrong. She was doing her best with what she had. Her friend should have said family counseling, not your mom is pimping you out.

It’s hard to paint a modest picture of yourself when you dress with zero regard to your reputation. This young lady will meet her husband and her mother-in-law some day. I couldn’t imagine my son bringing home a young lady doing such a job. This mother is ruining this girls future.
