I don't think it was intentional, it's on old weathered tape so the pitch is gonna be a little flat. Realistically you'd just play it in A minor.
@ShiningTrapezoid

@@eelnai2503 tape being old wouldn't make it drop a half step. Wrong speed might, but it doesn't sound like that. Lots of people have tuned down to make it easier to sing for a long time. Same concept as using a capo.

@@ShiningTrapezoid I'll meet you halfway. Tape is inconsistent and can easily drop in pitch. Also maybe be just tuned a little flat. I just wouldn't write this or play this in G#m.

@@eelnai2503 you're arguing with the wrong person about tape and guitar tuning, dude. It doesn't just "easily drop in pitch." You tune a guitar a half step flat and just think of it as if you were in standard. What YOU think you would do is irrelevant. People have been doing it for ages.

Thomas Norman Oh yes there are. But you'll have more luck finding them far away from the social glitter, hot women and earthly pleasures, more likely hiding deep inside some private university, analyzing the filtered results of massive amounts of globally collected data, drawing conclusions, writing essays, making predictions and offering "ideas", funded by, and exclusively for, conservative Think Tanks, giving handsomely paid private conferences for private Foundations, helping their "sponsors" shape the world to come.

How are the two mutually exclusive?
@ellipsis7761
5 жыл бұрын
Three problems. 1) [citation needed] 2) Mao didn’t round up all the intellectuals and have them shot. Mao gave up a lot of his power during the cultural revolution so the masses themselves would often send intellectuals to the countryside if they were out of touch with the masses. You can can watch How Yukong Moved the Mountains to see how this actually worked. This is not anti-intellectual, this is understanding that intellectuals have a petty-bourgeois class instinct. 3) Maoism did not exist until the late 80’s/early 90’s long after Mao died. Maoism is only called Maoism because Maoists believe that the Mao era overcame the limitations of the USSR. The USSR fell apart due to revisionism in the party. China did too but the theory of the Cultural Revolution provided a long term solution to this because it calls upon the masses to get them to criticize poor party leadership. Why did it fail? Because it came too late in China. The revisionists were already embedded in the party. Mao=/=Maoism. Maoism is beyond Maoism. It sounds funny to say but Maoism began in Peru with the Peruvian Communist Party declaring it a higher stage of Marxism. Maoism did not begin in China. I’ve read a lot about this sort of thing. I’m very familiar with how the west portrays Mao and how the rest of the world does.
@ellipsis7761
5 жыл бұрын
Maoism is beyond Mao*. Mao wrote quite a lot and you can find plenty of it on the internet. I’m sure you can find something where he demonizes intellectuals if you maintain that position. But even still, Maoism is a system of thought and action which is not dogmatically reliant upon what Mao said so let’s say you do find something... so? Maoism is not anti-intellectual even if Mao may have said some anti-intellectual things. But again, there are numerous interviews with intellectuals in How Yukong Moved the Mountains. Intellectuals lost their elite status and were connecting to the masses.
