Problem is not with egg freezing. Main problem is that if you are trying to conceive with those eggs after 40 yr of age, then the body sometimes is not ready to conceive. It takes a lot of time, patience and medicine to then get the body ready to accept the embryo. No one talks about all that.

Hyy @haritikaverma9758 This is coming from a biologist (soon) that freezing your eggs is the least you can do as an ambitious young female. The quality of your eggs reduces after you reach 30-32 years of age. It all happens bcoz after 30, your chances of passing down a genetic/chromosomal disorder increase on a high scale. Even if women are not sure about getting married, they do so to get a baby without many complications. And that's why, it's a much-needed step to avoid a harsh life for your baby in case it's preventable.

Adoption is a personal ‘choice’! Loving someone else’s baby as your own is not easy. You don’t have to copy others if you don’t feel that way for a child. Do what makes sense to you. @@Anonymoushuman13 oh I do, but there's a lot of fear-mongering around this.( I used to buy into this bullshit too. ) Advanced maternal age is A risk factor, not THE ULTIMATE risk factor. There is no way to predict actual high-risk pregnancies until they happen. Plenty of women have been having healthy kids well into their 40s, long before IVF was invented. Yes, it would be ideal and optimal if every woman had kids in their 20s, and if every woman who had kids had a loving partner and a great support system, and if every parent came from a happy home and had no psychological issues. In fact I'd argue that we should all try to build a world where that is the norm. Unfortunately, life doesn't work that way. Some of us get married later in life for no fault of our own. Sometimes life is just weird. One person even got pregnant in her 50s after she (seemingly) went through menopause. So yes, instead of buying into this "high-risk pregnancies" fear- mongering and diagnosis via comment section, I'd rather let the doctors decide what an actual high-risk pregnancy is- AFTER it happens. 😊PS: I'm aware that in cases of advanced maternal age doctors classify pregnancies as high-risk almost by default. However, if there are no other factors, they just monitor you more closely. It doesn't mean all-or even most- kids born after 35 are doomed.
