1995 segment on ESPN I wish somebody would have told me not to have dubbed and redubbed all of my vhs tapes in case I would be sharing them with a zillion people...
In the 70's It was always great to come home from school on Mondays knowing you had MNF to look forward to. You know, weekend's over, first day back to school but hey!!, there's football on.

I could JUST HEAR the late Howard Cosell: "To put it in its PROPER perspective, one must ALWAYS TELL IT LIKE IT IS!!! And you ALL know that ONLY I CAN DO THAT!"

There will never be another pairing like Howard, Frank, and Dandy Don, ABC tried to come in with Miller, Michaels and Fouts no dice, one thing for sure that Kornheiser will never be forgotten for better or worse.

that was called the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour not I Love Lucy. any episodes aired in the mid 60's were reruns since the show ended in 1960. I Love Lucy ended in 1957

+MyyyClips The Howard Cosell MNF halftime highlights of Sunday's games was gold, and with the cool theme music and the slow mo replay (He could, go, all, the, way!)Chris Berman still mimics/draws inspiration from Howard to this day

this was back before ESPN sold out to gambling and fantasy sports. the screen is mostly free of stupid graphics. but now somebody thinks that i need to know the punt hangtime (useless), that the tailback has 1 rush for 0 yards for a "0" average. and on the bottom of the screen i see a crawl which says the pirates have released their 5th starter due to his 49.6 ERA, info which i could have waited until the top of the hour to get.

HOWARD COSELL MISSING FROM THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME??? Cosell needs no explanation of why he belongs in Canton. As the lead of the ABC Monday Night Football trio of the 1970s and early '80s, Monday Night Football made the NFL the dominant professional sports league in America. Everyone else associated with that team in the broadcast booth Frank Gifford,? Don Meredith, Dan Dierdorf, have won the Pete Rozelle Radio-TV Award for broadcasting. What about Cosell?

@MyyyClips Well, on that note - if you could dive them into parts and upload them, people could just download the flv file if they wanted it (can be converted and burned to DVD if desired). On the other hand, you always have to worry about the Disney copyright Nazis getting wind of videos like these. For some reason, they don't want old episodes of Sportscenter/Primetime/NFL Prime Monday/whatever posted. Not like they're gonna sell these on DVD.

@dcbandnerd Wow! You're kidding right? Washington lost that game (9-9-85) horribly 44-14. That's the game Theisman is referring to in this video. What an ultimate FAIL of a post.
