+bear archery84 Bullshit. That arrow penetrated more than far enough to be a lethal shot, very obviously. Just because it's not the way you want it to be or the way it is when you hunt, doesn't make it wrong buddy.

I dont realy get it how does that big bear die in a arrow? I mean look how big the bear was and the arrow is just thin and its impact and penetration compare to a bullet, do u put some chemical or like poison in the arrow?? Just verry curious..

The British Raj? Brits went to India and shot tigers from elephants and left them there. I many areas in north America it is illegal to remove the head and skin of an animal first. all meat must be removed from the kill site before. With bear hunting. That bear CANNOT be moved out of the woods whole. No where in Canada are you allowed to be in possession of a bears gallbladder IT MUST STAY AT THE KILL SITE. Or basically they will take everything you own. And I mean everything they will put a lean on your house take your vehicles and you will probably end up with a $250000 fine if not jailed www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwiiovCAscrJAhXDpoMKHRiKAj8QFggbMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.environment.gov.sk.ca%2FDefault.aspx%3FDN%3D2a5dfe9f-6442-4667-ad59-253883e8b8e2&usg=AFQjCNH9i2mEoWi_xj4mQAh1N_-4gv74RQ&sig2=KqdUCVSRBMHHZBoSJQRDnA&bvm=bv.108538919,d.amc

Anywhere in North America State Province has hunting/fishing regulations simple to find and learn about Take the time a skim through some you will learn a lot It is not just simply walk into the woods with a weapon and look for whatever is out there

Well mate thanks for the info and the link. Now I'm not green...I mean I live here in Hereford UK and 3 members of my family were in 22 SAS for many years. Here's my father....www.shobdon.shaunmcguire.co.uk/images/Terry%20Jickells%20(SAS).jpg John Lofty Wiseman (SAS Surviavl Handbook) is a very good friend and I know for a fact that these guys (my father included) would not kill for sport...only if it were truly survival. Any other time is a waste of time in my opinion. You live in the wilds no doubt and it's what you've grown up with. Indeed my grandparents were farmers and prepared all their own meat and I do now mainly from road kill. But to parade an animal like it's a trophy after you have killed it I find this some how infantile and full of need. The Hunters and Trappers guide seems to point at some ethics and they have tried. The funny thing is the ethics of the kill site isn't about the hunter having any ethics it's him or her staying out of trouble. Well, it's a big world with stories good and bad the Raj in India being one. So the debate will no doubt go on but as for me I only kill or would kill to survive and eat and not for a photo op. It's a bit Crass although some would say it's a show of pride in ones skill. Mmmm what a world.

These skinny carbon arrows and opening broad heads aren't good, they don't penetrate, at this range it should have been a complete pass through. Great bear but there are far better arrow broad head combinations. Heavier and more effective. A foot sticking out is too much. It isn't just the end result but the means that also count

Nice bear and video but wrong broadhead, it isn't because it does the job that it is good. In my view these opening broadheads aren't humane. At this close range a proper broadhead makes a complete pass through. I shot a bigger bear from the ground after a chase, (not from a tree or ground blind) in a heavily forested area of Colorado with a large broadhead, heavier arrows and it went through like butter. These small opening broadhead are simply not good at penetrating. They can also as I've seen them do, cause horrible surface wounds. Not intending to criticize but stir you in the right direction. Archery is about pass throughs, not sticking them short. A heavy arrow with a large sharp broadhead will do a far superior job any day.

+Brainwashed Sheeple with that name and the logic you just used. sure it was logic, but it seems to me that youre unaware of bad logic amd thats what you just did. you opinionated that guns are in fact more human... that is only applicable if the person shooting the gun gets a heart shot, but same thing will happen with a well place shot with an arrow, guess where, the heart! so i guess hopefully your seeing that its dependent on the placement of the shot, power of the trajectory(applied force). a bullet doesnt get a kill shot that animal is likely to suffer for weeks or die of lead poisoning, heal with bullet fragments in the animal. now the hollow shaft arrow, that will cause a good portion of, what could have been, non kill shots a kill shot due to bleeding out. granted that bleed out is better than lead poisoning or many other bullet wounds. not to mention lead contamination, but thats another topic all together and im not going to digress. look up a video of a deer getting shot in the heart with a hollow shaft arrow, the deer just flinches, bit doesnt run. seconds later it just falls over, dead before it meets the ground. so what im getting at is, is what youre saying is opinion and nothing more. infact most people would consider bow hunting more sporting...

The ecological balance was fine before MAN even walked the planet, so hunt man, he can fight back. SICK I heard you say? Just as sick as killing a hibernating bear I retort. Conclusion; sensible hunting is an oxymoron, eating the flesh of any kind is immoral, period, unless it's a tomato.

Shooting large animals that you have lured to you, while sitting high in a tree is not hunting. Secondly, shooting a large animal with an arrow is beneath contempt. There is no honor here. Only agony for the animal.

Shooting a bear or any other animal Which is less painful for the animal because it dies by hemorrhaging the arrow hrough it so fast and so sharp it's kind of like shaving and you're with your razor blade and cut yourself shaving it doesn't hurt it does bleed thehough the animal dies from loss of blood with a gun is it dies from shock and it's terribly painful even in War you can see they're in pain and well-placed arrow in the animal is more Humane I think plus it's more challenging, I'd rather be shot with a gun that I'm about your chances of survival are better, weapons of today are very Lethal Weapon

+Axel Shahrier I agree with you. I hunt deer because where I live... Deer... Everywhere... Herds of 100+ constantly... Bear meat is gross tasting, gives a disease if not cook in a specific way, hitting a big animal with a bow that will not kill them instantly is torturous, and I don't agree with trophy hunting at all.
