We sailed on the Jesus boat on a very rough Sea of Galilee about nine years ago, in December. When we stopped to have prayer & worship, suddenly the waters grew very still. And it was calm until we finished. When the boat turned to start the journey back to the dock, the waters began to churn again and the rain came pouring down. An amazing experience that reminded us if the miracle from the Bible!

This reminds me of a sermon by Jon Courson who said that Jesus actually said 'be muzzled" in the native tongue he spoke. Meaning it was demonic activity churning the sea. It sounds like the same thing happened to you maybe?

Absolutely astonishing! I sailed the Sea of Galilee in 2016, 2017 , & 2018. It was calm 16 & 17, however 2018 we kind of got an experience that the Disciples experienced we had to take a detour to get on the boat the sea was rough. The only thing was going through my mind was what the Disciples was thinking. We gave God praise in the middle of the storm. I wish I knew how to share the video with you guys. I think every Christian should experience a trip to Israel. You must visit several times, because there is so much to see. The Bible comes alive.

Sergio and Rhoda, thank you to share your faith, Jesus can indeed calm any storm we experience!!! I feel honored that you used my footage and grateful you provided the link, your documentary is very interesting as usual. Just to contribute to the discussion for me even a storm with one meter waves could be a serious danger or at least very annoying. They had small boats and no engine, imagine you have to row, and go in the opposite direction of the waves. Imagine that it is night and you can't see anything and you are tired after fishing. We must also remember that in the center of the lake the waves are always a little higher than on the shore. The Tabgha springs where you have been have a temperature around 24°C . This means that in winter they are warmer than the temperature of the lake and in summer colder, it is a perfect place to bathe in all seasons. The waterfall you touched is artificial, the waters gush out at the level of the lake, but there is a pipe that brings them up and causes the waterfall. The Sea of Galilee never freezes, the minimum water temperature does not go below 10°C. The outside temperature never reaches 0°C. Keep up the excellent job!!! Greetings from the Sea of Galilee

Hi Sergio and Rhoda, I believe this is the first time to watch your videos. It is very nice to be on location in Israel, and see Bible sights there❣️Thank you for sharing your vision with us.🥰 You gave very good introduction to your goal at the Sea of Galilee. One thing to possibly take into consideration about what caused this raging storm: Jesus put the demonic world on notice while He traveled, ministered, healed, and taught! They were on their way across the Sea of Galilee to do just that, whether the disciples knew that or not, Jesus was about to cast out demons, many. I personally believe this storm was energized by demonic forces, against Jesus and His followers. It is odd that this raging storm should happen to them right before this demonic encounter in Gadara. Shalom❣️

Let's set the stage for the storm event in the Gospels, Sergio. It was around midnight. There were not lights on the boat nor on the land where they were headed, nor in the sky. Unbeknownst to the disciples, they would be heading toward a graveyard where at least one man would be possessed by so many unclean spirits that he was untamable and uncontrollable. Also in that vicinity there were Jews engaged in tending a huge herd of pigs, one of the chiefest unclean animals to the Jewish people. The unclean spirits knew that Jesus was in that boat. They knew that they would not be successful against Him. They hoped they could create enough fear and panic in the disciples of Jesus that they would call off this trip and go home. So, unclean spirits in charge of the wind and the sea stirred up their respective domain to thwart Jesus's visit. Except, Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea and it was made calm. Next, he delivered the man of all the demons and sent him to preache to the cities where Jesus was determined to go but couldn't. Jesus is our Champion!

This reminds me of a day I went on a lake to fish. I was about 19 and I went out alone in a metal canoe. Suddenly there was a storm! I'm scared of storms AND scared of water but figured I could go on a boat since I didn't plan on abandoning ship. Now I was scared the canoe would flip. I tried so hard to row back where I had come but the waves were so big the oars kept leaving the water and I was going further away from where I wanted to go. Finally I realized I was getting closer to another shore so I put the oars in the canoe and just went along with it. I ended up next to a random dock and tied the canoe there and then walked around the lake to the cabin I was staying in with my friends. I walked in and my friends went crazy with disbelief. 'You're alive! Oh my goodness! We were do scared. We even called the sheriff and they said it was too dangerous for them to go out to get you. But here you are all on your own!' It was really neat telling them about my little adventure. Just another time in my life where God spared me. Praise the Lord. As a saying I read says: Sometimes Jesus calls the storm, sometimes He calms His child. I had to be calm. It wasn't easy but thinking clearly helped me realize what I should do. And yes, I was praying out there! Praying hard, lol.🙌

Wayne Brejcha, shared a very important piece of information: "I wanted to share that one thing that will swamp a boat (and break it up) out on the open water (as opposed to getting rolled over and smashed up where the waves are near the shore) is not just the height of the waves but a short frequency (relative to the length of your boat) from one wave crest/peak to the next. Those short-frequency waves can happen with storms that arise quickly on previously calm, generally smaller bodies of water. I have been in my sea kayak on Lake Michigan (sixty miles wide, 300 miles long) in 5 - 6 foot “tall” waves and been in far less trouble than on Lake Kabetogama, a much smaller lake in Voyageurs National Park, with 3 foot waves that have a VERY short frequency from winds that arise quickly. The slopes of those crazy waves are steep and they bang into your hull. If you are heading into the wind, the bow of your boat rises steeply and slams down hard, as opposed to a very large wave that has a long frequency where you just slowly glide up and down, and the surface angle of the wave may not be all that steep. (And if you are heading downwind, those waves pick up your stern and bury your bow underwater in the wave just in front of you…. very unnerving!) It also makes sense to me that if the general weather on Galilee is mostly fair, you could have a boat that is perfectly fit for those ordinary days, but a squall may reveal every weakness in the vessel. I’d say it’s a totally fair guess that even 3 - 4 foot short-frequency waves could break up a small overloaded boat whose repairs may be a little overdue!" Wayne is absolutely right! This is a point we forgot to add into the video. Thank you, Wayne! Please check his awesome animantions: calabashanimation.com/ Also, please check out Filippo Rossi's YT channel who so graciously given us the permissino to use his videos of the storm: kzitem.info/rock/9imoKjdVY5lXWQea5zLW7Q

And I appreciate the greater perspective he and Rhoda gives us of scripture. Because I always wondered how the storm would be on that day with Jesus. With the desciples rightfully fearing for their lives. But the same Jesus who cast demons out of men, and brought Jarius' daughter to life pushing back death, is the one who calms the storm. Made me emotional thinking about. He is indeed worthy of our praise 😭🙌🏽🙏🏽

I am so sorry for your loss. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself ALL the time to grieve as you need. I still miss my mom, who would have been 95 yrs old today, on January 17th..... I know she is with Jesus, and happy. And I miss her.

Amazing - I'm sitting now in my house in a snowcovered village of Radonezh near Moscow almost on the eve of Russian Orthodox Epiphany watching storm on the Sea of Galilee and reminiscing of being here 10 years ago on warm Easter days. God bless you both, and thanks a lot for your videos!

Thank you for showing us this! I always wondered about how turbulent the Sea of Galilee can be since I had never seen it be turbulent enough to be as scary as described in the gospel accounts.

This is Michael from PC Florida. Y’all have been such a blessing to us in the past two years that we have been following your ministry. This is another good video. I could picture Jesus walking on the water to the disciples and Peter getting out of the boat and walking to Jesus. You guys still make the scriptures come alive to me. Keep doing what y’all are doing. I pray for you two often. God bless you both.🙏🙏🙏

Thank You, Sergio and Rhoda for your work in the Lord towards us ◇. Volcano near by? How interesting. So I, youtube'd search in regards to Israel. Anwers is: Yes, from the Golan there is a fault line that runs through the middle of the Sea of Galilee. The Lord said that the Mount of Olives would split in two. And that was written over 2,000 years ago. The Lord's Word... is Ever True... ♡ Ever Lord Ever♡......

I am new to your videos and absolutely love them. I have not doubt that God either allowed or even orchestrated the storm when Jesus was sleeping. However after discussing with my pastor and then did further research the storms are apparently not as uncommon as was indicated. I've never been there so I don't know for sure only what I've researched. It takes nothing away from the fact that this (and when Jesus walked on water) was a teaching moment for Jesus' disciples. May we all trust in our Lord during the rough seas of our lives and realize that perhaps they are teaching moments for us. Again thank you both so much as it definitely led to some great discussions and thoughts.

I love how you two give a context around what a storm on the Sea of Galilee means. Lakes like Lake Michigan act like a inland ocean, and whoa, Lake Michigan can have scary storms. It is so interesting to learn about why storms on the Sea of Galilee are so unusual. I LOVE this channel.

Very interesting video. Lately I wondered about the waves on the Sea of Galilee, and what Yeshua did. I was in a storm here in the United States and that's when I was wondering about the waves on the Sea of Galilee. So thank you very much for this video, and the other videos from 1992. It sure does give a perspective of what the Talmadim went through. You and Rhoda are a great couple. Shalom.
