Nice vid!! You guys aren't afraid to work that's for sure! I've never prospected for gold so I prob can't tell you anything you don't already know. But I've heard if you can find an ancient waterfall that those are a good place to dig in the bottom. Also where the river bends and get down to the bedrock and dig out the cracks and run that material through your sluice. Wish you guys the best of luck with your finds. Keep it fun and don't give up!! New sub and looking forward to your next vids and finds!! GL & HH, Jerimy

Brett - Jesse, I would think if you want to get down to the old river bed, I would think you would need to dig down much more. I would think the elevation of the old bed wouldn't be to far different than the elevation perpendicular to what the river is now. Just a guess. Enjoyed your first video. Thanks for sharing.

We love the sluice box, I can’t remember what power of water pump we have, might have to look at upgrading. We do notice it sometimes gets too heavy with material not getting pushed down. Although, I think we gotta slow down our hand shovels when putting material into the sluice, we get excited and rush it

So i wish I knew where you guys were digging here in MT. In any case I would say you need to be higher up in elevation. Follow that river until you get to the headwaters then get above those and start digging you will have better results when panning.

Just a experiment in gold prospecting, but I figured out how to use a Magnatron from a Sanyo microwave and a resistance coil to find gold and platinum. Using the magnatron, like putting metal in a microwave, you get a meter measurable reaction to metals and metal types In Re -hertz of feedback. Amazingly you can detect dense metals such as Lead, Gold, Silver and platinum ( non ferrous materials) and separate them from irons, and high ferrous. Copper however has the highest feedback and can be found at depths up to 4 feet in my test.

Nice start and great movie quality. Nice scenery... got to be gold there but most is going to be just above bedrock which looked like you were far from it under that rock. Maybe find where bedrock is exposed and start there... I'll be moving to SoCal and want to start looking myself, unfortunately, it's basically just dust up to 1 or 2 grams to find there. lol Brett and Jesse..Gold is where you find it! From what I heard. Who can help that would know about your area if you don't say exactly where you are at. If you find a BONANZA you can EDIT THE LOCATION AND MANY SAID FACTS out or not post at all! iF YOU FIND AVERAGE GOLD INVITE ALL WATCHING TO GET HOLD OF YOU AND COME OUT THERE TO HUNT AND SHARE INFORMATION. Many may know thru writings and old government survey briefs on that area. I know its Montana..thats it. don't be one of those kind that always look down not even tell you the state their in because they found a 1964 silver George and a Wheatie! LOL...You find it they will come! That could be a good thing... You'll see where they tried..test their hole bottoms and see what others found and eliminated a lot of digging for ya! lol ... I know nothing about raw gold findings but only from videos I watch and research I've done in the last 1 1/2 years about SoCal, Where the best chances to find gold is down river from the productive claims of mining companies....If more knew where you are maybe they would come and do some digging which could make friendships along the banks to gain more knowledge of the area for you and the other digger. Maybe ask Jeff on "Ask Jeff Williams" about what records or survey office to call about the amount of gold taken off that river stretch and mountains. Ask others on KZitem the same. Just trying to help bro's.. Maybe you've done all this type research already...you did not say. Well till next time ..HH and GL!

+john harvey THANKS JOHN ! even after seeing us at 4:44 am you still remembered to come back and watch ! so awesome ! amazing ideas on having more people join us in this blm land we found ! its probably all small dust like we were finding since this river did form after they built a dam in the early 1900's i was told. but hell, its still a blast ! Yeah we watch some of jeff as well, funny and great guy all around, we are starting to do more of the research part, well jesse is , I (brett) am more of a youtube video research guy, jesse does all the backrounds, blm search, claim searches , hes the nerd of our organization and im just the good looking one ;) haha but hey thanks for watching, and many thanks for all the info and support ! see you soon in our next video !

Glad you did not think I was a know it all.. but at 62 I need to do research first to metal detect.. bones and joints can't wast physical time. lol i just want to help wherever I can. I hope I can eliminate a lot of time looking for gold in Cal and have friends that do when I get out there. When you are planning ahead to go prospecting and panning invite all on your sire to meet yous out there.. it's the right thing to do and will pay off many times over! I have notifications turned on for your site. I should not miss any vids! Big Tip::: Subscribe to every prospecting site and turn notifications on for every one of them. My you tube email is set up to GMAIL..I never used it for anything. All notifications go there so it does not fill up my Yahoo account. You'll have every new posting of every prospector... invaluable info. to research at your leisure! By subbing them and leaving HH/GL on next hunts will cause them to Sub to your site!!! ..and others will see your comments and mat come to your site to see who you are and sub! Win/Win! well enough from this old man for now..Looking forward to your next adventure! Peace ;) Want some funny prospector entertainment..Check out Mountain Bouncers videos!
