Ahhh, the joys of party boat fishing. This June 20th was supposed to be on my boat, but as you'll see in the intro shots, the weather would not allow my 32' boat to run 35 miles from Greenport on the North Fork of Long Island to ocean off Montauk.
Not to worry, my customers Richie, Joe, Angel and Julio are all Montauk Star regulars and the 85' Montauk Star had no issues with the 3 footers that met us and we had an incredible morning on the Star.
I got an almost 9 pound fluke on the second drift - but would it be enough to win the $800 plus pool?
I have nothing but positive things to say about the Star, it's Captain (Mark) and Mates Matt and Kirk and, of course, chef extraordinaire and fluke master, Dennis. Definitely a trip I would do again if my charter gets cancelled because of weather, but the weather is not bad enough to stop the Star from sailing.
