Parroquia San Fernando de Montecristi
Iglesia San Fernando (1925-1927)
Arquitectura eclesial
San Fernando Church (1925-1927) ecclesiastical architecture Symmetrical façade with concrete walls and gabled zinc roof. Two towers on each side of the façade contribute to accentuate the symmetry. The windows and openings in the towers have an ogival shape and the reliefs around the main door with a neoclassical style place it within the eclectic style. The original stained glass windows and bells installed since its inauguration have been preserved. The main altar, made of centuries-old mahogany, considered a work of the foundations of the previous temple that was made of stone and bricks. The façade of the church faces the central square and from the towers of its bell tower you can see the surrounding beaches and the Montaña del Morro.
