I have been a Moodies fan since I first saw them in the late '60s at Stanford University traveling with an orchestra. I am 72 years old and still love the Moodies-the greatest band of all time. This is the band that married a brain to rock.

@@michaelmos7497 I agree--because I love the EARLY Stones--Aftermath my favorite album from them, also Sgt Peppers, and the first four Led Zepplin albums. The Moody Blues do have a special place in my heart

I saw the Moody Blues on their, Strange Times, tour with my son when he was a music student at LIPA in Liverpool, he was taken aback by hearing them live and we got the CD Strange Times from the show...they were awesome the seats rocked, the sound made them literally move under us. Greame's drumming was something else, their rythm, guitars, flute and melodic voices were out of this world. The theatre Usher's stopped in their tracks to listen to them. Their overall sound was absolutely mesmerizing. 💙 they did their greatest hits as well as the songs on the new album at the time, we were literally blown away by the whole show. 🎶🎵🎶🎵I have that box set, Time Traveller, an awesome collection for its time, love this interview with Justin and John, they are legends. 💖

Moody blues music for me really takes me to another place, dream about the past, dream about the future. Gets right into your soul like a lot of great bands. They really stand out on this. Such a great band. Sounds like no other.

I think…and hope the world would agree…we are all so fortunate that Justin and John met each other way back when. These 2 guys (along with Graem and Ray) put out some of the best music of all time. Thanks for sharing this interview.

Mike Pinder (and his Mellotrons/Chamberlin instruments) was an essential part of their sound back in the day. I'm surprised you didn't mention him.

@@blave549 you know you are absolutely 100% correct. I should have included Pinder. I must have had a brain fart when I posted my comment.

Saw them in Portland Oregon, Arlene Schnitzer Hall, 2006, I took my friend who didn't know their songs. I was singing the words in her ear, it was cool.

My BF(RIP) introduced me to the MB. So many beautiful songs, the music arrangements and harmony. "For my Lady" and "I know you are out there somewhere" will be always on my memory. Thank you Chucky! 😍😍

PS I was inspired by the title of the album, Strange Times, I’m an artist and I did a painting called Millennium Storm with a surreal illustrative theme in Moody shades of Blue with white. Moody Blues do, as is said here, inspire other creative people. My son does covers of their songs and graduated with good results at Lipa in music technology, inspired by The Moody Blues and The Beatles, Sting, Geneses and Bryan Adams. I remember him trying to conquer Question on the guitar and commenting how different and intricate the guitar intro was on that song and the words too were inspiring to him in his songwriting. I love Strange Times and play it often it has happy memories connected to it. I did just as they said about Time Traveller people just loved looking at it when I left it out…I’d much rather have the product in my hand like that than the digital streaming they have today….we are in those Strange Times now and they’re getting stranger, The Moody Blues don’t play together now and Justin and John have their great solo tours with the band and their solo songs played, with Moody Blues songs, I’ve been to 3 of Justin’s solo tours they were outstanding shows. 💙

What a great story! I too was inspired by one of their albums, "Every Good Boy Deserves Favour". I loved the artwork so much I painted it for myself and then decided to go into commercial art. I got my degree and worked for a newspaper in Chicago until I retired a few years back. This band touched my life in so many ways. I will always love them and their music.

The Moody Blues are a spiritual group. If you take songs form each album starting from Days of Future Past to the Seventh sojourn, the lyrics talk about Christ, and love these 7 albums are the seven Thunders that other their voices in Revelation chapter 10. In my book Seventh Messenger I reveal how I was told this. Thank you Moodys for your words of wisdom.

I've been a Moddies fan since 7th Sojourn (as a teenager) and not once have I heard any reference to JC, nor have I heard any mention of "him" in interviews. You are of course welcome to hear that stuff in their music, but I don't. Each to their own.

Appreciate the interviews that you produce, but it would help if your voice was more present a little difficult to hear the questions that you ask.
