I say this with no criticism whatsoever… I am SO GLAD someone finally copied the Red Witch Moonphasor. I was so bummed I never bought one before they were discontinued. I see these are only $99 now, too! I am tempted to buy one. Great job on the pedal and awesome demo.

Nice to see a harmonic trem in a smaller package! I bought Alexander's La Calavera and the EQD Night Wire because I'm a big fan of pick-attack dynamically controlled rate and depth.

The Sensitivity should have a mode switch to select for the Dry/wet MIX, the harder you pick the more WET it the effect is.

I presume it's an optical tremolo by the light pulsating but it's not mentioned. It was a main selling point on the previous tremvelope.

where do I put this in the effects chain? A phaser usually goes early in the chain but a trem pretty much last. So now what. Love this pedal btw, and nice demo, cheers!

@kyleconklin1472

Not necessarily, the guitar is inherently a mono instrument, and this whole advent of introducing pseudo-stereo pedals has been pretty detrimental to how well a guitar part fits in a mix. True stereo would mean the pedals would have to do more than offsetting the timing or phase of a time based effect, and more than just some changes to the frequency or level balances between the 2 output channels from a stereo effect. You'd have to have a distribution of the source instrument itself, like how some stereo output synthesizers, analogue and digital have preset configurations or allow you to pan the voices to create true stereo content, that when summed to mono doesn't suffer from phase cancelation as badly as when you have totally mono source material (a guitar pickup, in this case), and using time based effects to try and create difference in the content, usually causing a phase cancellation of the source signal, or the modulation effect itself. Stereo effects have their place, but they are very much misunderstood and abused by musicians with mono source instruments, and manufacturers alike.

@@kyleconklin1472 People use pedals with synths as well as guitar.
@kyleconklin1472
3 жыл бұрын
@@trickfall8752 I never said they couldn't, if you'd have actually read my initial reply. You also have to consider the cost that goes I to producing true stereo analogue circuitry, effectively having to duplicate the signal path for the left and right channels. Much easier with digital pedals that rely on DSP chips that these days can easily handle several channels and very intensive processing, but when it comes to analogue devices you have to replicate the signal path per channel, meaning you'd lose the compact form factor and increase the price.
@trickfall8752

@@kyleconklin1472 I read your reply and was merely pointing out that some use these types of pedals with stereo synths and like to have the option of maintaining a stereo signal path. Personally I also often run a dual amp setup and use synths so I'd be more interested if the pedal was stereo. It does sound very good.
