I’m lying here in tears. Beck has crossed over the River❤️RIP Brother. This was one of my grandparents favorite songs. As a young Boy in the mid 60s. They would play this often. Jeff Becks Guitar Work on this is so Heavenly out of this World. Soaring. To see Clapton by his side and singing this classic song. You could tell Clapton was mesmerized by Becks take on this. Very moving emotional moment in time🇺🇸

A number of years ago a tv series used the Andy Williams version of this masterpiece of composition and emotion. I was immediately struck by it so unexpectedly. I knew of the song before then but hadn’t taken time to stop and really listen. So my hearing it in full accidentally is a wonderful thing. This year, which is about to end, I lost my twin brother the beginning of April. My dear mother passed on two months later at an amazing 91 years old. And thirdly, my wife loves huckleberries. So it is this song which makes me think of each of them all at once… instantly, intensely and so emotionally. I also happen to be a musician and guitar player. To have stumbled across this, not ever knowing Clapton and Beck had even ever done this, and to hear them doing it, for the first time in my life is overwhelming. I’m so very grateful to them, Mr. Mancini, Mr. Williams, and the documenter of this and the poster. If I write any more I will collapse, so thank you, and I hope and pray for everyone to have peace this year. As a race we are in a desperate situation. Let’s be good to each other despite our differences. James K.

@jj smith much love to you & for you, 💞this is powerful isn't it & with losses in our personal lives & my association is when I was singing this song as a young teen, my father was the one who is the one who came to me, he was still alive, a good man who for me I wanted love to be shown that he couldn't (of course now being 74yrs that's why I think he came to me through the song), honestly hearing this the beauty of the tones, I do wonder still, "why you daddy?) and does it matter, nah, man, your words to all of us is part of the magical moment of this version, whatever powers that be, yes let us all take what we're feeling & share our vulenerability by the emotion of love. Thank you for your love & know you did put more of peace out into the universe ~ now I must stop, whew & be grateful overwhelmed in this moment. ~hugs~

This isn't what I would have expected from Clapton in those days though. Well done and well intention-ed, yet it could have ended his career if he did it in those days. A great song done by Andy Williams, but totally in a different realm in those days. You watched Andy Williams with your parents, not your girlfriend. Well suited for whammy bar and reverb certainly. Very American tune for a couple of Brit blokes.

I still can't get over Jeff Beck's passing. I've been watching a lot of KZitem videos of his performances and it amazes me how he can take a simple melody and turn it into something spectacular. This tune is a perfect example. He sticks to the melody, doesn't deviate from it, and doesn't throw in any flashy gymnastic, pyrotechnic playing like a lot of other players would when they get bored with just playing the melody. And yet just listening to him play like this, sounds amazing. RIP Mr.Beck.

Just discovered this gem after Jeff Beck died. It is by far the most beautiful version I've ever heard. Beck's guitar and Clapton's voice . . . makes me cry every time I hear it.

incredible!!! Wow! Never would have imagined Beck and Clapton doing a guitar version of this classic song. Two all time rock stars playing a classic. Shows you how great they both are. but for Eric to play rhythm and allow Jeff to lead, tells you how other guitar greats feel about how great Jeff really is.

As a child, I heard this song so many times on the radio with my dad that I pretty much associated it with my dad. When he passed away in 2004, I sang this song during the two hour journey back home for the funeral, weeping with memories and loss. It still hits me like that!

"Your My Huckleberry"! This too reminds me of my Mom and Dad's love for each other. 64 years of love they shared and right up 'til they had to part at 80 (mom), she sat in his lap and they walked holding hands. 💔 I don't think I have ever seen two people more in love. This planet is a tough place to be without my mommy and daddy. What a gift they gave us kids. Beautifully done be E.C.and J. B. I ALSO Love Eric's "Over the Rainbow".
