I just ordered mine in carbon. I can't wait to try it out. I've been eyeballing them for years.

Hairdryer the sheath edge then stand on it and the retention problem is solved. It works great. I'd leave it to cool properly before you insert it into the sheath again though.

I prefer the Companion HD with a kydex sheath. I have under $40 with a custom kydex sheath.

Just got one in carbon as well, thanks for your review. All your videos are very informative, I enjoyed the backpacking knife video, going down that rabbit hole. Any thoughts on the Morakniv Kansbol? Yay or nay? Thank you

@@carlos_2856 thank you! I have almost picked up a Kansbol at least 10 times. I think it would be an awesome slicer. I have seen other people bend and break their Kansbol by doing harder tasks. Knowing it’s not super robust has kept me from picking it up. But part of me still thinks it would be a nice addition as a camp knife!

Not trying to be clever but 44$ plus 26$ is 70$ not 60$

14C28N is much much tougher than vg10, although it doesnt hold and edge as long, but the difference there isnt big. 14C really competes with the toughest super steels tbh, and its much tougher than any of the commonly used high carbon steels

@@Elektroslag Yes it is, 1070 cant even begin to compare to 14c28n. Check out knifesteelnerds ratings, he has a phd in metallurgy and scientifically tests steel properties like toughness, edge retention, corrosion resistance.
