Thanks Ben. Didn't know this existed. I agree that a kit that would slip onto the earlier Mora sheaths would be awesome. Your new into is very cool... nice Logo.

That’s a great kit, I want that for my Kansabol. Thanks. Alan R.

They would make BANK if they made a universal fit for their more budget line. Sold separate as an attachment.

I see it as an attachment but it was out of stock and I can’t tell if it will work ok regular mora sheaths

Idk if I'd call it a survival kit, but definitely a nice add on

Practicality wise would anyone suggest this is ok for skinning small game? Wouldn't really want to hit solid bone with this blade. Great bit of kit though I would only buy such a basic priced item especially being a knife if it has a low demand for its uses, given I only want to use it for simple quick food prep. I have no doubts it holds up well considering the common popularity amongst distribution. Thanks

I’ve used my original Mora Bushcraft Survival for ~ 12 years on everything from wood/fire prep to cleaning fish and even field dressed, then boned out an entire deer with it. With minimal care, it’s held up through everything. Absolutely no regrets, and I don’t care what anyone says - definitely prefer stainless. The sharpening stone on the original Bushcraft fell off long ago when the glue failed, but the ferro rod is not glued on, it’s *part* of the sheath, so it’s never failed. Otherwise, the only drawback is that it will make any future mora purchases hard to justify, like this one, for example. lol - I want it but don’t *need* it!

They should also add a small channel to hold a cloth sail needle too.
@Prepare2Survive

@ibid.2win Yeah, I know. That's what I've been using for about 10 years to hold my needle, but it still loses it's stickiness over time and it wouldn't be very hard for them to add a slot to hold a large needle that wouldn't lose any retention over time like duct tape does.

While i like the idea im not a fan of the price. A full size ferro rod is cheaper. The mora with the FR is also cheaper. Nice but just not for me

Does this fit with the multi mount kit? It looks like you can’t remove the the belt sheath to change to the multi mount when the survival kit is attached

There is a mod where u can combine the belt loop and sheaf lock before u attach this so u have both options connected and all works and fits the multi mount

Not sure I would call a ferro rod and a sharpener a survival kit. But it would be helpful.

Calling the addition of a Ferro rod & sharpener a “ Survival Kit ” is really pushing it.

Yes it’s works with the multi mount but once it’s on it’s on so no swapping the belt loop or lock loop but there is a mod to combine the belt loop and lock loop before you slide this on

This isn't a SURVIVAL KIT. It's a knife and holder with a sharpener and firestarter. Hardly a SURVIVAL KIT. Also, the most important thing about the knife you didn't even mention. FULL TANG?
@livingsurvival
3 жыл бұрын
That is what they call it so that’s what the title says. Also, I’ve previously reviewed the Kansbol and Garberg which I mentioned in the video and you can go back and watch that to hear me say it’s full tang.
@DutchK75

The Kansbol is a semi full tang. The way they injection mold the handles on. I wouldn't worry about it breaking. Mora's are pretty tough knives.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO YOUR KNIFE!!!! Seeing you rub your edge at like 60° on that ~400 grit diamond stone hurt ALOT xD
@livingsurvival

That’s how rough the stone is. Didn’t hurt the knife at all.
