@@pixarsgayfishbois3086 I think it’s less about if he knows the words or not (because if it’s not confirmed, there’s a good chance he does), but he doesn’t see it as one of the three necessities of life. Rev. Putty was probably thinking “Yeah, preteen boy that has been caught pleasuring himself before. Give him a moment and even if he won’t admit it, he’ll turn red because he thinks of the one he’s not supposed to.” But he doesn’t. There’s nothing implying Orel feels that’s a “necessity” of life. He sticks to just Faith, Family, and Friends. Even after everything Rev. Putty knows he’s struggled through and the times Orel has enjoyed “the fourth f word” - Orel still stays optimistic, and that gives Rev. Putty the push he needs to go, “Maybe I don’t need to get laid. Maybe I need to complete the trio of F-necessities with Family, and maybe building a relationship with my daughter is the way to do that.” This conversation also makes it hurt more in “Sundays” after everything in Season 3 has happened. Rev. Putty looks around the congregation at the hopeless expressions, but then he remembers Orel, who couldn’t be corrupted by anything and gave him hope when there was none… and even Orel looks hopeless, because Orel is down to one F. Doughy manipulated him with the gun, he realized his dad isn’t someone he can trust, he’s the only one who realized his brother wasn’t his brother. Faith is the only one of the three F’s Orel has left, and even that is dwindling with everything that is happening. Because if the kid who seemingly wasn’t tarnished by anything is without hope, it really is hopeless for everyone in that church.

Stephanie sounds like the WatchMojo lady haha. But seriously, I love Stephanie’s character and this episode in particular. I always come back to it, just a feel good episode.

These 2 (reverend Putty and Stephanie) are my 2 favorite characters in the show, and they have my favorite dynamic in the show as well, partially because of how wholesome it is, but also because they're so different and yet still love each other.

I love how the Reverend despite his age just falls back to being a little kid waiting for a big date and being nervous. (Then it's his daughter) Edit: great character development though
