Dave's vocal work is just about the best I've heard - he can go so deep yet stay in tune and you can still understand the words. His range is also incredible.

Total win. One of my favorite Morbid Angel songs and damn good performance. Some like Dave, some hate him. But regardless of the stance, you can't deny the guy delivers.
@mechanoid2k

Why do some people hate him?
@alexwilliams9189
9 жыл бұрын
mechanoid2k because of the apparent musical direction he has taken Morbid Angel to now, and how he caries himself.He took Morbid into an industrial death metal sound, different from the straight up death metal Morbid has done in the past.

***** It doesn't have to be that way, beliefs and music can be separated. But i think that regardless of the band, they were friends for many years, and the friendship was over, i assume, just for Pete's beliefs change... I mean, it's preety bad to end the friendship after so many years like that.
@JorgeLeitner
9 жыл бұрын
***** I saw a recent interview with Pete here on youtube, and he said that he doesn't miss morbid angel at all, but he doesn't regret what he accomplished with the band. But he also said that he really doesn't listen to the records anymore.
@JorgeLeitner
9 жыл бұрын
***** Yeah, true story. I think it's cool Terrorizer keeps doing what they've done lyrical wise despite Pete's beliefs. But about MA, even if David is a jerk, and Pete could have easily came back, he said it himself he just would never come back to MA, so the problem wouldn't be David anyhow... David just left the band anyways, Steve Tucker is back xD
@JorgeLeitner
9 жыл бұрын
***** Haha, totally agree man. It would have been better if the guys from MA just made a new project and make Illud instead of ruining MA's name... I don't hold much expectations at this point, actually i don't care that much. When they release a new album i'll check it out, if it's cool, awesome. If not, whatever. The classics are always there, nothing will change that.
@JorgeLeitner
9 жыл бұрын
***** Yes, you're absolutely right. Nothing lasts forever indeed. Some bands can go up to 40 years playing music, that's great, but even a band only lasts like 5 years, which is nothing... But the spark no longer is there, it's better to just get it over with, and make those 5 years last forever with a good memory. And a lot of bands just keep beating up a dead horse.

No, they can't. It would be technologically impossible. I'm not saying HD did not exist in 2006 but people started to buy HD-ready (not full HD) tv's around 2009 and to have a full hd camera in 2006 would have been unrealistic.

***** well, I guess that's basically fair enough... though, I've been enjoying this since about it's release! As for the visual aspect of the video I do think it has been tainted by that hideous spandex pleather over-the-top pentagram shirt. It defies statements and imagery which I feel has been pretty well curated throughout their duration.. that is until David returned with his new found level of douchbaggery (according to stories David had always been a real self absorbed prick). I guess what disturbs me most about the video is that there has been so few professionally recorded multi-camera and this one features way too much of that obnoxious hot-topic-discount-rack shirt. Other than that complaint, this is excellent, everyone is on fucking point and it's so nice to see MA ripping up Waken. On a side note: Trey is such a badass I can't even knock those baggy buckle pants.

LYRICS: Where the slime live Where the slime breed When the wind blows And the cradle falls... down Their poison fingers That wrote the poison lines Their poison lingers What a tragedy when their fingers are removed Where the slime live (2x) Where the slime live (They are the lowest forms of life) Where the slime breed (They make a new one too corrupted) When the wind blows (The winds of truth are blowing now) And the cradle falls... down Their burning dogma Introducing to our mind - lies They plot for the total control of the morals And what a tragedy are when the "god-heads" are removed They crawl, they breed, they hide but we see They burn I see the smoke of the funerals rising God lives in their hearts now laid to rest What a sight As their kingdom comes tumbling down We burn - the ones with contrite souls be gone! Long gone are the filthy liars Long gone are their filthy lies I know they'll come again some day Where the slime live and how the slime gets washed away
