My dad used to go to all these locations in the 50s and 60s, just to watch the steam trains. Now I find myself regularly at the NYMR, doing the same thing. The apple never falls far from the tree.

What great footage. It takes me back to a time in this country when a childhood didn't consist of gadgets and the I want I want attitude. Thank you for this. It removes the horrible anxious feelings that go with this so called modern day society. Back to a time when life was at a walking pace and people were so much nicer to each other.

9F Going light engine north through Retford and I think that was another 9F towing a diesel shunter going east towards Worksop ?

60002 Gateshead A4 never normally asclean as that Gateshead engines normally pretty grimy ,could be ex works ,can anybody tell me where 60535 Hornets Beauty is being turned on turntable ,looks like it could be in Scotland some where ,it’s place of residence ,saw it at New Southgate onLCGB special in the early 60,s are rare cop indeed!
