pigmie I do believe that getting more flexible faster is after your workout however I do have to disagree with you on not stretching before your workouts. Study's show that you do indeed have more power whenever you don't stretch before your workouts but that shouldn't matter when your hamstring tear from not stretching properly.
@iguedalia

the ultimate solution for that would be doing dynamic stretching before workout. does not weaken the muscle and gets you warm and flexible

You forgot the most important reason of the compound stretch... the overlying fibers of the glutes transfer via the lower back to the latissimus muscle on the opposite side. So in the compound stretch you don't only stretch the glutes from the 'bottom', but also from the 'top'

Awesome vid jam-packed with tons of useful info, dude. Thank you again! I think yoga deserves a spot on your list (or some flexibility tutorial out there), because not only do you do compound stretches, but you incorporate breath, which is a HUGE factor in any physical activity. Ever since I started doing yoga, I notice increased stamina, focus, endurance, balance, and overall control of my body. It's greatly helped me in my kenpo training.

I mean, you should typically warm up then stretch then work out then stretch. But the after one would be more extensive, since strength training and most work outs cut your flexibility significantly over time and not doing both could end in an injury or in reduced flexibility in time (i.e. without before stretches you’re more susceptible to soreness and injury, and without after stretches you will most likely end up less flexible than before since the beginning stretches won’t “last” the whole work out time and you’ll either be back to your starting flexibility level or worse depending on the workout).

Hey, dude love your Videos. I just got a question about stretching after your workout. I do Taekwondo during my freetime and usually I would go running after the Training. And then I would stretch after running. Now somebody of my Taekwondo colleagues said that it is unhealthy to Stretch afterwards. Is it true or just a myth, because I havent felt anything yet, but I am still confused. Thanks in advance ^-^
