Great update! Glad to see you are adding the inner panel too. I see so many roof repairs where just the outer skin is repaired… you are doing it properly! She may not be pretty but she’s certainly going to be solid 🛠️👍 Keep the updates coming :)

@@stevebishop1161 hey mate thank you. It’s good to be able to get back on the van . As soon as I’ve got the roof finished, it’s onto the exciting bits. I’ve managed to get a new side panel and rear corner then once they’re done that should more or less be the bodywork finished 🤘

@@HubertusSchaper greetings thank you so much for your comments. It’s all the support and nice comments. Give me the enthusiasm to keep on chopping away at it. Can’t wait for the final days when all the bodywork done and I can start concentrating on the other stuff hopefully next summer, she may be a rolling shell. 😊

I have a bay window. I am so,so lucky to have very little rust. I still need to fix it, but I’ve stopped it from spreading. I hope to do those small repairs this winter or spring.

Yes, you’re very lucky but definitely try to keep on top of it. rust spreads very quickly. Good luck with your repairs. 😊

I’ve just found your channel and l admire your determination, as a car restorer myself in the past (60’s 70’s British cars) although l did have a dolly and hammer kit for body repair l preferred using an old smoothing iron, (they come in various weights and sizes) with the handle cut off they are perfect for most jobs together with a bodywork hammer it made most of the dollies redundant. Junk shops or boot sales would be a good place to find one, and a lot easier to use than that lump of rail, also try to find a piece of RSJ around 300cm tall and 500cm long these make a perfect anvil sat on the bench or on the ground.
