This was the last big slog for Tom to get our 1955 Morris Minor Traveller barn-find on the floor and driving properly. Or so we thought. In this one, you'll discover why he swore frequently at Alec Issigonis, who designed the car. You'll learn which brake parts can be swapped front to rear, which we had to dig into the manual to understand. You'll even see video of a clevis. (Yep, a clevis.)
If you haven't followed our revival of the 1955 Morris Traveller that sat silently in a garage in West LA for 55 years, here are the pieces so far:
Part III: • Barn-find Morris Trave...
Part II: • Barn-find woodie wagon...
Part I: • New adventure: Barn-fi...
And here's what we're planning to do with the woodie wagon and another Minor too:
• Our 2 old, very slow, ...
Here's that other Minor:
• The Survivor: Rare 194...
Our sincere thanks, once again, to the generous + patient JD + Beth, who let us work on a shabby old car in their driveway. JD offered up his stash of boat-building tools, and even shot some video for us on Tom's phone.
As always, we are devoted to Bryan 'Woody' Wood. He makes the video magic you are watching out of the clips, images, voiceovers, and random emails + texts we toss at him. Do you need videos? HIRE WOODY! You can reach him at: frink5k@gmail.com.
