I know we get a 10,000-foot view of who you are, but it is so refreshing to have a humble, calm voice in strongman. I know drama and theatrics sells. But it's not my jam. I enjoy seeing the silent, humble warrior. You are giving the strongman community a good vibe.

Mitch this has been the best video out to really show the people beyond the comps. It shows how they are real people who just happen to be doing something they love while actually love so many other things. Too many people put these top athletes on a pedestal and want to be them. I'm not that, but knowing more about them makes me believe. not only do I want to be them, but in my way I am them. Not in athletics but in life. Love the content, keep it going.

Thank you Mitchell for offering this pov. Almost all of the content in the world of CrossFit addresses the hype, the push, the training, and how to perform better. This is the first video I see that interviews such top-level athletes and displays their pov, that becoming a champion is a byproduct of becoming a better athlete and a better person. All the best buddy.

I loved that, I was never a top level (Field) Hockey player but I absolutely loved playing and it was everything to me, then I had 3 big injuries that ended my playing days, it destroyed me.. Then I started coaching and realised what everything was actually for, so now I give myself and my knowledge and my joy and passion for the game to the kids I coach so they can grow up enjoying one of the best games on earth and learn to not put pressure on themselves, that winning is not the be all and end all..

Hey Mr. Hooper, I really enjoyed the angle of perspective in this video. The motive behind the muscle and the purpose in the performance. The insight in the intent, and it precedes just athletics. And, what you said at the beginning in your comment, the position you have has provided a platform or opportunity for impact and what a waste if you don't have anything to say. That's good stuff. I'm a Pastor that just happens to enjoy weightlifting, competitive contact and power sports. I've enjoyed keeping up with you and Brian Shaw for obvious reasons, but a personal one as well. I enjoy the kindness, modesty and humbleness that both of you display as champions in your respective arena's of competition. In those positions it would be very easy to become proud or arrogant in which anyone would struggle with, given the opportunity. I'm a very big fan of passion in the right purposes. Passion that cannot be quenched by adversity and what I speak of is beyond human comprehension, but when discussing topics like your video has brought out, it shows glimpses of characteristics in the creation inherited from our Creator. I believe that you would enjoy the passages found in Hebrews chapter 12 verses 1 and 2 in the Holy Bible (Hebrews 12: 1,2) If you look close enough, you can clearly see the purpose of one man's passion which impacts us all. You and your family will be in my prayers. God bless.

Great work Mitch. I wonder though if crossfit has a lot more to do with social class, with being a 'crossfitter' conferring on someone a mark of distinction or membership within a group that sees itself as distinct from the more lowly less expensive sports out there. I may be wrong though.

Fantastic content. I'm now addicted to your videos and will be following closely. I just ordered an Airwaav to see if it helps in my training. I was always the shortest and smallest in school the one thing I had was having abs and being lean, I then suffered a TBI and spent far too many years chasing my old physique you Eddie and others have shown me I can chase power and just be me no matter what shape that is. My training and diet have changed and I feel better in myself than I have in years. Inspirational people and have huge respect for CrossFit though I could almost make a drinking game out of the number of times they say like 😉😆
