Episode Transcript:
Today we're talking about the power of investing in your children and not just your children; everybody in your life, including your spouse. It's very, very important to honor others by being invested in what they are invested in. Now, what does that mean? That means if your child is into softball, go and throw a ball with them.
If your kid is in the band, learn about the instrument that they're playing and ask them questions about it. Let them teach you, about their world. If your kid is into riding bikes, get a bicycle and go ride a bicycle with them. But find what it is in their world that they like to do, and then you make a study of it.
Participate in it. If your child's an artist, go get them some art materials and maybe even sit down and draw with them. Now you may not be an artist, and what you come up with might not be so hot, but they're going to always remember that you sat down and drew with them. If they're in to movies, watch movies with them.
If they're into academics, ask them about their academics, share their homework with them, do those sort of things with them, but find what it is that your kid is mostly interested in and then really make an investment in that. And this one is just for free. Why not find out what your spouse is into as well and go share those moments with them?
Hey, if he likes to fish, go fish with him. If she likes to go shopping. All right, fellows, go shopping. Do what it takes to enter the people's world that you love. Go and do their things. Go and do what they enjoy.
Watch what results come your way. God bless.
