Morecambe Bay is a vast expanse of sandbanks and intertidal mudflats covering 120 square miles in north west England. Before the development of the road and rail infrastructure travellers would risk their lives crossing the sands, juggling with the deadly quicksands and rapid tides. Sadly lives are occasionally still lost to this day. However, the Bay is better known as a wildlife haven and for possessing a rich coastline of salt marshes and historic communities. This film takes in the coast from Roa Island in Cumbria to Morecambe in Lancashire (avoiding those areas where drone flying is restricted).
