Wall Street pitched so-called quality stocks with high profitability and low debt, as a kind of insurance against whatever the economy might throw at you. Quality stocks have underperformed the S&P500 this year, waiting may not be the best decision for investors. It might sound basic or generic, but getting in touch with a financial adviser was how I was able to outperform the market and raise a profit of $350,000 since Jan 2022. For me, its the most ideal way to jump into the fin-market these days.

It’s precisely at times like these that investors need to be on guard against the next certainty. You don’t have to act on every forecast, hence i will also suggest investors to get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.

The failure of Silicon Valley Bank has torn into global markets, with investors ripping up their forecasts for further rises in interest rates and dumping bank stocks around the world. I'm at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my dipping 200k stocck portfolio, what’s the best way to take advantage of this bear market?.

@@ReidCoffman1 I think it's brilliant to use a brokerage advisor for investing. Prior to speaking with an advisor in the heat of the 2008 financial crisis, I was actually experiencing terrifying nightmares. It would be helpful to have him explain the dynamics that would cause a 20-30% downside in equities. If earnings go down to 180 to 195, what is the correct multiple? I think just going back to historic recessions/bear markets and saying 15 or below is not realistic because of inflation which he pointed out is now positively correlated with equities. There seems to be a new dynamic which is inflation of the multiple based on increased money supply and limited investible asset classes.

'As-Reported' earnings require a large grain of salt when CFOs have the opportunity to overstate their estimates for 'recession' restructuring, say, to build up reserves and manage said 'reported' earnings at a later date. 'Whoops' our estimate was wrong, how about that? Top-line real sales revenue (deflated for inflation) for the S&P 500 continues on an upward path.

I disagree with what he is postulating here. Inflation is never good for stocks. Sure it increases GDP nominally , but all assets must be repriced when inflation and interest rates go up. Stocks go up during this bear market because investors are confused and don't know how bear markets work. Bear market rallies are spirited for sure, but inevitably they give way to much lower prices and much lower multiples.

This guy has made a living by being chronically negative and bearish. Wilson can’t time the market any better than anyone else because no one can. Ignore this garbage, buy quality companies or the S&P 500 and maybe a mid cap and small cap index fund or and hold them. You’ll do much better than listening to these overpaid “analysts” who add no value to investors.
