Nice bike. I'm getting my 2015 V7ii Special delivered on Thursday. I've got a 1200GS but want something with character for city rides and short blasts. This bike has so much character and the shaft drive is a major plus. Especially in a cold wet climate like we have in Scotland where you always have to be on top of chain cleaning and lube. I like the stock exhaust sound but the forums all say swap for the Mistrals (or Agostinis). Big outlay though and won't recoup on resale. I will still probably do it though. Cheers!

Hey buddy, thanks for making this. Couple questions. This bike looks quite new but wondering how this chrome tank is going to wear. Any issues so far with that finish? Also, is that the stock exhaust? You're getting a really good tone through your mic. Lastly, what mpg are you getting? I owned the big California 1400 and can tell you, as you probably feel because it's your first bike, but guzzis make going for a ride an event. They just make you smile in a way not all/few bikes do. So have a blast and be safe. Cheers.

DirectorLJ hey man thanks for stopping by. Yes the bike is fairly new and I already see the hair thin scratches, but it’s ok, not a big deal, I’m sure there is something out there that will help me polish it when the time comes. The exhaust is stock, it has a nice sound at low speed, but as soon as you hit 35 you won’t hear much, so the Agostini’s on the way as soon as the shop in Italy will open. The MPG is about 51-54 mpg city and canyons. It’s very true about the smile, this bike is a true joy to ride. Do you still have the cali 1400?

@@photoguzzi753 Thanks. There are ways to actually seal the tank with a one time coating application that's invisible. You can find people doing this on KZitem. I would probably have someone do it cause I don't have the right setup. But this chrome tank could be a prime candidate for it. I don't have the 1400 anymore. Loved it but I live in NYC and it burned gas like crazy city riding and there were times out was just too much bike. I have a place upstate I commute to but it was just too big. So I wanna get V7. Cheers

Nice! Would you recommend a moto guzzi v7 over the new royal enfield continental gt 650? the gt 650 is getting good reviews and is also a twin. What are your thoughts? Im researching what to get as my first bike and cant decide. Thanks for your input in advance!

Michael Sutton I would recommend the guzzi obviously, but I’m a little biased 😉. In all seriousness, go try them both. See which one “speaks to you”. This is my first bike as well, and I love it. No matter what you get, enjoy it, and be safe. Thanks for watching 🤘🏽

There's a good video on YT comparing the V7, RE 650, and the Street Twin, can't remember who by, maybe MotoBob? Pros and cons, down to budget and personal taste. I've gone for the Guzzi! Happy shopping.
