I applaud you for stressing the fact that sunscreen MUST be used copiously! You are SO right, most people do not use enough sunscreen. It's amazing how much money people can spend on skincare yet lack on the most important ingredient that will not only keep them youthful but may just save them from a terrible disease: skin cancer.

Hi Jennifer! What great timing!! I’ve been looking for a sunscreen to purchase as I have been made aware of the importance of using spf daily. I narrowed it down to the cetaphil daily facial moisturizer spf 35 and drmtly’s broad spectrum spf 45. I think I’ll try the Cetaphil and hopefully I love it so I can stick to using it consistently :)

I found that this was irritating to my skin as a “moisturizer”. But because I was tight on money, I decided to try something to tolerate it better while not having to buy another sunscreen and it worked. My skin is super sensitive so I tried putting on my usual moisturizer (Cera Ve Cream) on damp skin and then applying this sunscreen on when my skin dried. No irritation except for the eyes slightly. Highly recommend moisturizing before applying this if you’re skin is super sensitive

I noticed you generously applied it to your eyelids, and I wonder do you ever get any eye stinging throughout the day? When I experience eyes stinging from sunscreen on/near my eyes, I wonder if that was because the formulas included both chemical sunscreen with physical sunscreen. I recently switched to a Clinique formula that has no chemical sunscreen ingredients but I habitually avoid bringing it down from my brows onto my lids for fear of irritation or stinging during application or randomly throughout my day. I have naturally oily eyelids and I’m convinced that over a few hours product can slide down into my eyes. Anyway, does this ever happen to you? Does the zinc oxide based formulas not sting the eyes?
@Vashtibucket

You should try using a baby sunscreen around the eyes as they are very delicate and don’t sting, but still has great SPF. I recommend the Baby Bum sunscreen by Sun Bum with SPF 50. You could also try using a lip sunscreen around the eyes as they’re also delicate.

I don't experience any eye irritation, thankfully. I seem to not have very sensitive eyes, generally, I must admit. I wonder if I was born with some genetic mutation (I'm not being flippant)...because even cutting onions, I have literally zero sensation of discomfort or anything when I do that, and I know it's a known thing to tear up when cutting onions, and I never have; not even mildly.

eye stinging with sunscreen is such a pain. I have been wearing sunscreen daily for around 12 years and tried a variety of sunscreen with no problem. Around 2 years ago I began getting real irritated eyes. Took me a while to connect that to sunscreen - an HG of mine I have been using for 5+ years. Now I'm on the hunt for a new sunscreen (been testing over 15+ types) and all but 2 irritate the heck out of my eyes. Pipette Mineral Sunscreen (all mineral, leave a slight white cast and too shiny on my skin, never really set), and Skin Aqua Moisture Milk SPF50. This is an oldie - I tried so many others and this is the only that hold up. So I'm using this for the eyelid, and eye area while trying to finish up all the sunscreens I bought to test that unfortunately all sting my eyes to no end.

Eyelashes (like the rest of the hair on our bodies) grow in cycles. My lashes cycle in and out of several weeks where they'll be like giraffe lashes lol, alternating w/a month or so at a time where they are almost as puny and short as before I ever started w/the castor oil. So, I guess what my point is, is patience and consistency; and not abandoning routine. Just my two cents and the way I do things. It works for me.

Hi, I'm contacting because I've been puzzled by a certain topic regarding retinoids for a long time, and I can't find a clear answer. Well, I am wondering what is more profitable to use in the perspective of antiaging - retinol or retinal or adapalen (3rd generation retinoid). I often meet with the information that adapalen is better, and on the other hand, with ordinary retinol because it works on more receptors. Do you perhaps know the answer to this question? Thank you very much in advance! Best regards, Mikolaj Niewirowski
