This is really really beautiful. It makes me think of all those morphine/sandman tracks I'll never hear. Mark was such a prolific writer and recording artist. There is now one less track out there hiding from me. Thanks Jakub!

You're welcome. They are unique, they should be spread as far as it's possible. Sandman died in a beatiful way for a musician, performing live on stage. Though more beatiful thing he would create. But I really wonder how Morphine would look like these days.

@TheRickricky I'll never forget how I felt the first time I heard these guys. I'd never heard anything like it, and knew I would love it forever. The only songs that I can listen to over and over and not get sick of.

Not only an amazing and genius-level musician, Mark also had one of the most beautiful voices in western pop music history -- this song in particular demonstrates that fact!

Good to see you, it's been a while Somehow no surprise I thought you're gone like a glass of beer And I know any minute you could disappear I guess anyone in your shoes Would do the same thing as you Back from somewhere I've been before I was falling overboard How many years, now it's hard to say You're one of those people who always look the same I guess anyone in your shoes Would do the same thing as you I would never judge what you do I'd do the same in your shoes Your hand is cold, it feels like ice on mine I knew you'd have to come back one more time I guess anyone in your shoes Would do the same thing as you I would never judge what you do I'd do the same in your shoes

Beautiful song. This was on the original 96 advance version of Like Swimming. It was between Eleven O'clock and Hanging on a curtain. Honestly i don't understand why it was cut.

So beautiful and amazing. I work right down the street from where these guys formed and recorded in the 90's, in Somerville MA. They were so original in their style.

Cameron Goodrich: No one else at that time sounded like them, and no one now in these days dares to sound like them -- that's the ultimate musical compliment that everyone respects that sound that a given artist created that no one wants to be caught in the act of imitating it.

@@shruggzdastr8-facedclown true that. No one could pull off what Sandman, Dana, and Billy (and Jerome) created. It's his own world, and it feels so much like Boston, where I live now. I love walking around all the old architecture and the River while listening to Morphine, and feeling how both of the vibes mesh (and thinking about how Sandman was walking around the same streets whe he wrote it.. especially where I like to hang out, near the River between Cambridge and Back Bay..). Great to hear from a fellow fan who appreciates their genius!

Morphine has a new singer they are doing the soundtrack for the Sopranos now in my opinion certainly not as good as they were with Sandman
