That's what makes them human tho. I much rather prefer the sound of an actual drummer blasting to the best of their ability. I'm in a metal drummers group on Facebook, and most metal drummers nowadays are machines and can keep with drum machines all day long.
GREAT VID. Love to see Mortician getting some revenge on their nowadays crowd. Seriously I wonder what Mortician thinks of having a crowd full of memers and slam dancers at every show.

Also I have a technical question for anyone out there: why is Will plugged into a Marshall MG100? Will if you read this what's up with that, do you always plug into guitar amps and is that for the gain? Why not just use a bass Fuzz pedal through a conventional bass amp?

2 жыл бұрын
@@minddecayproductions what you want to do in the future is talk with the band and get permission to use audio form the board for your filming / offer some kind of money or free press for the privilege and talk to the sound person. The sound person will usually give you the option of a stereo bounce of the mix - live changes to the sound will reflect in this mix but it will be straight from the stage microphones to the board to your camera. After that, it’s just all about syncing the audio, which if it’s uninterrupted, should be easy.
@minddecayproductions
2 жыл бұрын
@@hedonisticmisanthrope Thank you for the information! Do you know if the Zoom H4 or Tascam DR-05X record a good audio quality when recording a stereo bounce straight from the mixer? My outcome is to get the fullest and best quality audio possible with a one track recording straight from the mixer. Or could I possibly get a better quality using a mic and attaching it with my camera and recording it using the same type of device (Zoom or Tascam). I’m not sure this is better, but it should be better than camera audio, good option for venues that won’t let me record from the mixer. Also is there any way you know of to record multitrack without using my own microphone system (just using the microphones and stage gear that is already in place.) Let me know if these are good questions for someone who is educated in this topic and if you know any of these answers Thank you so much for reaching out!
@hedonisticmisanthrope
2 жыл бұрын
@@minddecayproductions so my advice would be to have a recording device of some kind that you have the sound person hook up to their sound, so that you have a high quality, from the board sound of the band. While they’re doing that, you film - and later you grab you stuff from the sound guy, go home, upload the audio to the video in your computer and sync the sound. Bringing your own equipment and microphones to a show will only aggregate people - I would always recommend talking to the band, then talking to the sound guy once their permission is granted. The benefit of having a sound recording from the mixer is that is the live sound coming from the PA, effects, compression and samples and all, plus it’s mixed so it’s literally just a bounce out!
