The famous Moscow Circus (a.k.a. Circus of Bears) makes its first appearance in the United States by opening at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sept. 24, 1963.
A large audience gather at Madison Square Garden in New York to watch the Moscow circus as a part of the cultural exchange between America and Soviet Union. Stilt wearing acrobats and Cossack riders amaze the audiences.
The bears amuse the spectators. A bear carries a dog, and there's two bears in a boxing match. Bears entertain the crowd on a merry go round.
