I imagine playing the sixth variation from Paganini 24 caprice and mesure the distance between every third and tenth XD

I never really considered that the A string was shorter than the other strings because I assumed that the top nut just stopped the string anyway. Most interesting. What a wonderful teacher and Mr Moser brings such joy to his class. I learned so much in this 12 minute video. Many thanks.

Such a good lesson - thank you so much. Now! I tend to fret over the implication of terms we use as cellists. The term "stretch" will probably mean something different to cellists witn gigantic paws, unlike me who wish I posessed a 7/8 size cello. Would the term "opening up the hand" not suggest allowing the hand to become bigger maybe be more helpful than "stretch" which implies to me a "tightening of"? I am just wondering... Again, a great lesson!

I’m guessing the first third is a major third where the distance is smaller than a minor, and when it goes to the second third it is a minor third which is larger than the major. So as you go up the cello the distance would be shorter, but since it’s the minor third, the larger distance is offset by the notes getting closer together as you go up the cello. I think that’s how it’s the same length
