Thanks Mossberg for that safe take-down system, the reason i bought this first gun.

It is NOT a marketing feature. Many that shoot often like to Clean the striker channel. They do get dirty and can cause failure. This makes it SO easy. And for sure this is one very NICE shooter. In testing we ran this against the Glock 43 and P365 and it was far ahead. Handles recoil marvelously. All 5 of us choose this gun at the end. Bravo to Mossberg.

I'm years late to the Mossberg pistol party. Just found out they made pistols 2 days ago and picked one up yesterday!

The measured trigger pull is probably less than advertised because you had to pull from the trigger safety, whereas a finger on a gun this small rides mostly above the safety.

I love the way the gun breaks down. That way after shooting you can take your EDC primary weapon apart for cleaning and you can clean your firing pin and inspect it for cracks or wear and tear sounds like a plus to me

I would certainly agree this is easier to takedown than your average semi-auto pistol. My only complaint was that I just don't feel that it is as big of a safety innovation as it is made out to be. Overall, great gun though. I'm really enjoying it!

@deucedeuce22oz The MC1, for Mossberg's 2nd ever pistol it looks a whole lot like a Glock 43, inside & out. I wonder if it takes Glock 43 parts or magazines? Oh, right Glocks patents are all expired so no wonder. But it would have been nice to see something new & original by Mossberg.

Measuring the trigger pull doesn't really tell you much. Sometimes a heavier trigger feels better when you shoot the gun than a light trigger.

I check and use a sand filled CLEARING BUCKET. Kudos to Mossberg. Have grand daughter wants her carry license when she turns 21. This will be a recommendation for her.

I have one. For a female, i would recommend the glock 42 .380. So small light n easy to shoot. Very smooth.

I like my Mossberg MC1sc, standard edition, so much I purchased a second one, both standard editions. However, I have had to send my first one back to Mossberg for repair. I haven’t shot the second one yet. The slide would not return to battery a large majority of the time when fired, right from the beginning. I’d have to nudge the slide forward 1/4” to 1/8” to get it to return to full battery. I have 14 Mossberg magazines (1 6-round, 13 7-round), and the problem existed with all of them. Most of the time the problem occurred between 2 and 5 times per magazine. Frequently it occurred with every shot in the magazine. Rarely I could actually get all the way through a magazine without any failures. After the repair, the problem now occurs only 8 times per 100 shots; much better, but not perfect. I like how the pistol feels in my hands and its size. I like the accuracy with which I shoot it. I like the take-down feature. I like the trigger. I’ve fired Fiocchi, Browning, CCI Blazer Brass, Sig Sauer Elite Performance (the worst offender), Sellier & Bellot, and Federal Syntech and American Eagle through it for about 700 rounds.

Robert Marrott hey I have been having some issues with mine not going into battery. Have you received your gun back? If so, have you fired it and did it get any better? Thanks in advance

@@30secondswithDan It did get better after the repair. Now it only fails to return to full battery 10% of the time, instead of about 75% of the time. Better but not perfect. Not good enought. I've had to send my second MC1sc to Mossberg for the same problem; it left for Texas yesterday, April 21, 2020.

I too recently purchased this pistol because I love my shotgun from Mossberg. I was also using Winchester brand steel ammo and experienced the same issue so naturally thought it was the weapon. Good info about the ammo. All my shots from 15 yds are off to the left about one inch. I will adjust rear sights a bit to see if this works.

Do vid using Glock 43 mags. I've had problems with mags staying in battery after first round. Used 6 different mags & had trouble with all. No problems using the Mossberg bags luckily.

Man I really like this pistol. Too bad I live in communist California and we have a really stupid pistol roster here. Basically no new semi auto pistols can be added to it. Soo it really bites, there are so many pistols I want to buy but I cannot, such as this Mossberg. Anyhoo, fantastic review! This is the best youtube review that I have seen on this pistol, well done!
