I have put my 2 cents in about this shotgun all over the web including several responses to many of these KZitem videos. I currently own 4 semi auto shotguns. Biden actually personally looked straight into my eyes on several channels and told me to ' just buy a shotgun" . So I did. Anywho. I own and have owned for years at least one Benelli within my problem solving safe. Point blank I have had more failures to feed and extract with the Benelli's. My current M4 also set my back close to America's national deficit to purchase and make this shotgun truly exceptional. It still fails with certain loads. To be 110% fair I am speaking of birdshot. When it comes to buckshot and slugs however it performs as it should with 100% reliability. I also have close to $2,000.00 wrapped up into it. For my personal 930 spx. The version I have is a Blackwater which we had access to early on and at a great price point. I have installed a Mesa Tactical Urbino stock ( Limbsaver) , a custom forearm, a decent amount of Or3gun components plus updated springs and alloy follower. I sent it off and had a custom front sight base added which gave me access to several dovetail sights including night sights. A Magpul barrel clamp which helps prevent the mag tube from being possibly being compromised during tactical training. A custom safety to make it easier to control without have to adjust my grip when running courses. I went with a Mesa Tactical side saddle as I am not impressed with the Velcro versions currently on the market as they can be accidentally ripped off during more on urban and wooded courses. Now it is important for me to add that I had 100% reliability with the shotgun right out of the box after running around 100 rounds through it. Even when I was doing so I only had 1 failure. With everything I did to mine I am into it for right at $1097,38. I would also like to add with the Limbsaver model it does tend to be rather annoying when running drills. With any of these softer butt pads they can catch clothing just like an eraser on paper. I own 2 Benelli's one of course is the M4 and I also own an M2. I also own a Beretta which is a fantastic shotgun. And if you want to get technical I still own a Franchi Spas 12. Which is a heavy unbalanced POS. But it has collector value. But I personally would never ever rely on it in a life saving situation Period!! In my personal opinion the Mossberg even right out of the box will keep up with the M4 and Beretta. I give the Beretta a slight edge but a very minimal edge. And to be honest at the different price points the Mossberg is damn hard to beat. If you happen to purchase one that doesn't have some of the issues like misaligned rail and canted sights and burrs everywhere. Then may I say you have a powerful inclusion to any firearms collection. Happy shooting people! Also VOTE to start removing these annoying little demo rats trying to abuse everyone else within and abroad with pesky gun control BS!! Vote to remove the Crypt Keeper and his weaponized zombie squad.

SPX is a great semi-auto shotty, I would recommend installing the Mesa Tactical Urbino stock, it'll knock 2inches off the length of pull.

@@techguy3373 Or you could just remove the 2 spacers from the stock you already have on the 930. That stock is not made by Mossberg. It is made by Choate Machine & Tool Inc. and it is called the Mark 5. You have 2 spacers sandwiched between the recoil pad and the stock. You just have to get smaller replacement screws. No need to spend 180+ dollars for the Mesa Tactical stock.

@@BerserkHighlander Interesting idea. I did not notice there was a spacer. The stock is just a hair longer than I would like. I was reluctant to get a new stock because in some cases people have reported cycling issues after installing the Mesa Tactical. I might try that just to shorten it a bit.

Cool review and set up! I hadn't heard or thought about the plug thing, I'm thinking mine doesn't have the limiter, so I'll have to check. I'm thinking that I've had mine for a while, so perhaps it's something that was added at a later point in time? Also would have liked to seen the shots on target and back up sights. Thanks for the video and information.

Yea, I should have shown the shot pattern. I was using splat targets with slugs and from 100 yards it’s right on target. I have more fun with that 930 than with my AR. The 930 is more challenging which makes it more fun to shoot👍

Nice flat dark earth finish on the 930 SPX. I have looked at the Mossberg website and wondered if they offered flat dark earth on the traditional stock on the 930 SPX. Or a stainless steel model. Well, no chance Mossberg would do that since they only have that available on their 590A1s.

@@walterdvells6746 I would imagine so. Crazy how different states laws are. I simply ordered mine online and it was at my local dealer for pickup within a week. Even with my AR I simply order 5.56 ammo to my door like a hoodie from Amazon. You don’t even need a CCW to open or conceal carry here. At my bank they required a mask for me to enter, but said nothing of my 9mm on my hip🤣🤣🤣 That’s not a joke! “Sir!! You must have a mask in here!” The 9mm is ok though.

I can’t even remember where I bought that. It’s just a simple universal rubber stretch sleeve grip. I didn’t want to change the stock, but the sleeve feels a lot better on the grip. Try key word searching on Amazon. A bit difficult to stretch around it so I warmed it up first. Great cheap $16 upgrade.

Got to be something your doing wrong. Not only myself but 4 others know have never even had a single failure to feed regards of shot used. In fact it the first and only semi auto 12 gauge I’ve owned that never failed to feed. In fact I’ve even tried getting it to fail and I can’t. Maybe you got a lemon off the production line. There is also a vague possibility that your not keeping shoulder stiff enough. I’ve seen some shooters experience feed issues because of that. The action needs a stable force at the stock to cycle properly.

@@iclutchrooftops5524 Haven’t had a problem with the Sig 5 and I beat the hell out of it. Even if you bought $1,200 optics and dropped your rifle repeatedly on rocks and mud, your going to have problems or at least need to re sight it. Best option would be an AK with old school iron sights. You can abuse repeatedly and never have a problem. I always keep quality iron sights on everything for that reason. You can always trust them to handle more abuse.
