Dill, your game matches well against his. I would say you beat him 4 out of 5 times you play. Way to keep the ball out of the middle of the court on rallies when you are neutral or in control of the point. Trust it and hit it! Let’s go Dill. Juniors, watch the ball movement. Easiest way to get better.

What would be aggressive is playing tennis like it used to be played, serve / volley, drop volleys mid court volleys meeting at the net battling at the net. What I saw for the one millionth time is modern tennis for you stay as a baseline and you just trade balls back-and-forth it's just also predictable unfortunately has really taken a step back but I wish you well I hope you do well.

@@DillPlays you seem to play well but try to incorporate tennis the way it was always played. My criticism is not directed at you. It’s all of tennis. It’s the entire game. What happened to tennis.
@hillwellford9637

There's a difference between aggressive and reckless. I know, because I play reckless a bunch of the time, but never against a 5.0 with a modern stroke. Serve and volley in a predictable pattern is straight up suicide against anyone at the 5.0 level or above. Ask Maxime Cressy, who's beautiful to watch but is only 7 and 10 this year. This was plenty aggressive, right on the edge of reckless but usually not quite. Taking balls two steps inside the baseline against that pace, going for shots that close to the line, and coming in on any ball that puts Cerndog out wide, is smart aggression. Dill, I usually think that the camera slows everything down ... not this match. Very impressive ball. I particularly liked how you didn't stop something just because you lost 3 out of 7 points doing it. It takes mental strength to trust small positive margins like that. More than I have, for sure.

@@hillwellford9637 it's great to see people recognizing the difference between aggressive and reckless play in tennis. It's important to find a balance between taking risks and playing smart It's always nice to receive positive feedback and encouragement, I am very grateful to hear such supportive comments. It's great to see people appreciating and analyzing the nuances of tennis gameplay, and it can be motivating for players to continue working on their skills and strategies.
